Check in was so easy. The facilities were good. The location is great being so close to downtown. I loved being so close to the lake too.

We had our site booked but had to leave for the weekend because someone else booked the weekend. So we had to find another campground for 3 days and then return to our original site. This new reservation policy sucks! What was wrong with first come first serve?

Great spot. Walking distance to pubs and restaurants in downtown Ashland. Walking trail onto old ore dock with amazing sunset views. Sites are larger sized with one “twin site” (of course the one I got left) but most if not all of the sites are staggered to give everyone some views of Superior. Showers are clean and individual with an assigned code. There is also a nice playground and beach there that is open to the public. Keep in mind that if you get a lakefront site, there is a walking path that runs along your site to the lake. But you have the best sunsets!

View of Lake Superior lovely. Relatively quiet. Clean facilities. Only complaint is we ended up on dual site as that was all that was left( we were not camping with anyone) and our hookup was on the opposite corner closer to other party. Kids ran over our cords with their bikes. Another camper asked us to disconnect temporarily so they could drive in forward. Had to set alarm to disconnect for them an appointed time next morning. Poor layout.
