The camp ground didn’t have a bathhouse only a toilet vault. More than any thing campspot moved one of my family members 8 camp sites away because we didn’t pay the extra $20 bucks for the lock fee. I feel it is a racket to get extra money for the reservation service. If you the extra money then say so up front, don’t insists on booker pay for a certain site the move them 2 days before they occupy the spot. We will not camp any place that uses campspot for reservations again.

The camping spots are nice and big, but the manure dump is far from the back-in sites. It would be nice if they installed one closer to the back-in sites. There were also more regular (non-equestrian) campers in Hunts Meadow, which is an equestrian campground. They should not allow non-equestrians in the equestrian camp.

$45 per night seemed steep for a winter campsite in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma, but we took a chance and wish we hadn’t. The sites were seriously angled and had to low our tongue all the way down to the ground which made for some creative leveling. The showers, which we could only find one set for 5+ campground areas had ice cold water and a 45 minute line to use one. It was fine for a stopover, but we would rather camp at McMurtry.

We are disappointed that you had a less than satisfactory stay with us. To clarify, we are just 8 miles west of Stillwater, OK with easy access to all that town has to offer. Many patrons stay here since it is close to Oklahoma State University. Our primitive sites are $25.00 per night, RV sites $35.00 per night. We were not aware that the showers were cold otherwise it would have been addressed. Please consider returning and we will ensure your stay is satisfactory.
