Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms

By making a reservation, the reservation holder agrees to these Terms & Conditions, the Lake Minnewasta Campground Rules, all posted signage, and applicable City of Morden bylaws. The reservation holder is responsible for the conduct of all occupants and visitors associated with the reservation.

Reservations must be made by an individual 18 years of age or older.

2. Reservations & Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking. All applicable taxes and fees apply.

3. Cancellation, Refunds & No-Shows

The Campground may modify or cancel a reservation if contacted by phone or email. The following applies to cancellations:

  • 48 hours or more notice: Full refund, minus a $25 administration fee
  • 24 hours notice: Refund minus the first night’s camping fee
  • Less than 24 hours notice: All fees are forfeited
  • No-shows: All fees are forfeited

For multi-day reservations:

  • If guests do not arrive on the first day, the site will be held until 11:00 a.m. the following day.
  • If the campers cannot arrive by 11:00 a.m., they must contact the Campground Office to determine if a later check-in is possible.
  • Sites will not be held beyond one night for late arrivals; unarrived sites will be cancelled as a no-show with all fees forfeited.

Early departures may be refundable at the discretion of the Campground Manager.

Weather conditions, including fire bans, do not constitute grounds for a refund, except as modified by the above policy.

4. Seasonal & Year-Round Operations

Campsites operate seasonally and are subject to weather conditions and seasonal availability. Lodging accommodations operate year-round, subject to operational conditions.

Certain amenities, services, or facilities may be limited or unavailable outside peak season, due to weather, maintenance, fire bans, or safety considerations.

5. Fires & Fire Safety

Open fires, fire pits, and other flame-based activities may be restricted or prohibited at times due to fire danger levels. Guests must comply with all fire bans, posted signage, and staff instructions.

6. Check-In & Check-Out

Guests must adhere to posted check-in and check-out times. Failure to vacate a site or lodging unit by check-out time may result in additional charges or removal of property at the guest’s expense.

7. Site & Lodging Use

Each campsite or lodging unit has maximum occupancy and vehicle limits. These limits must be observed at all times. Visitors are permitted only in accordance with Campground Rules and municipal bylaws.

Detailed campground regulations, including pet policies, noise restrictions, fire regulations, and visitor rules, are outlined in the Campground Rules and form part of these Terms & Conditions.

8. Behaviour, Compliance & Enforcement

Lake Minnewasta Campground reserves the right to evict any person, without refund, for:

  • Violation of these Terms & Conditions
  • Violation of Campground Rules or municipal bylaws
  • Unsafe, disruptive, or abusive behaviour
  • Failure to follow staff instructions

Lake Minnewasta may deny future reservations or ban individuals who violate policies or create safety concerns.

9. Assumption of Risk & Liability

Camping and lodging involve inherent risks. Guests assume all risks associated with the use of the campground and its facilities, including but not limited to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Wildlife encounters
  • Uneven terrain
  • Water features
  • Fire pits and recreational equipment

Lake Minnewasta Campground is not responsible for personal injury, loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

10. Property Damage

Guests are responsible for any damage caused by themselves, their party, or visitors. Lake Minnewasta Campground may charge the cost of repair, replacement, or additional cleaning to the payment method on file.

11. Privacy

Personal information is collected through the Campspot booking platform and is used solely for reservation management and campground operations. Information is handled in accordance with municipal and Campspot privacy policies.

12. Amendments

The City of Morden reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms apply to all future reservations.
