Lakeside Timbers was a new RV park when we stayed in July 2024. The gravel sites were clean, level, wide, and deep. We used the laundry facilities and shopped in the camp store. We were impressed with the nice selection of meat from a local butcher. Our site had a nice view of Lake Mattoon through some trees. If evening shade is important to you, select a site on the west side of the campground along the edge of the trees as they receive shade first. My only suggestion for this new campground would be to add trash cans throughout for those of us who walk dogs. I don’t prefer to carry around a doody bag to the only dumpster. 😉
