Lake Thunderbird in Putnam is a private community nestled in Central Illinois offering camping for members and their guests. The campground is situated in a picturesque valley surrounded by hills and woods and offers a bathhouse, splash pad, two playgrounds, basketball court, sand volleyball and pavilion. RV electric and water hook-up sites as well as primitive campsites are available. Swimming, boating, fishing, nature trails, picnic areas and tennis courts are some of the amenities offered at Lake Thunderbird. Wildlife is plentiful. These are great sites for friends or family camping together. When facing campsite, marker is on the right side.
