    Skip the tent setup and head straight to comfort. Our camping cabin at Starved Rock Family Campground sleeps up to 5 guests and puts you right in the middle of everything — minutes from the pool, the playground, and the trails of Starved Rock State Park. It’s the kind of stay that makes everyone in the group happy, from kids who want to roast marshmallows to adults who just want a decent night’s sleep. Includes electricity inside the cabin, outdoor picnic table and fire ring, and high-speed campground WiFi. The cabin is a short walk to clean restrooms and hot showers, and includes access to campground pool, playground, laundry facilities, and dog park. Our cabin is one of the most popular options at the campground — especially on summer weekends and during fall foliage season (late September through October) when the Illinois River Valley lights up with color. Bald eagle watching weekends in January and February also fill up early. Book as far in advance as you can to secure your preferred dates.

With private access to water and electric and just a short walk to shared restrooms in our Main Office. Walk down to your private fire pit and enjoy your time away. Two vehicle pass is included per reservation. Additional vehicle passes can be purchased in the Main office for a fee. ATTENTION: Must book a minimum of 2 nights per reservation.

    Our tent camping sites are PRIMITIVE WALK TO sites located in a beautiful wooded area with a creek running through. Each site features a picnic table and fire pit. The parking lot, Port-A-Potty, and water access are within a close walking distance. Sites 1-5 are closest to the bathroom and shower house. Some sites are closer to the tent parking lots than others, so call for details if you have questions. Up to two medium sized tents and two vehicle per site are included in your paid reservation. Additional fees apply if you would like to bring an additional tent or vehicle. NOTE: Sites T17, T18, T19 are easily accessible by car if you happen to need a site that allows easy access to your vehicle or have a tent attached to your car/truck/van. These are also out in the open with no tree coverings. All other sites are WALK TO sites.

    It was a great experience, the staff is suuuuuperrrr friendly!! Campground was perfect. The only observation is that they should have more dumpsters spread out in the area. We had to take our trash on the cars every day to a long distance (not walkable). All the rest was great.
