Terms & Conditions
THE FOLLOWING RULES HAVE BEEN CAREFULLY CONSIDERED AND REVIEWED BY THE OWNER. THEY ARE INTENDED TO OPERATE SO THAT ALL GUESTS HAVE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE VACATION WHILE STAYING AT THE LIGHTHOUSE RV PARK:
- The Guest who is responsible for the check in of your party must show valid and unexpired photo identification.
- INSURANCE COVERAGE: This applies to longer term stays. We may request that you provide proof of current insurance coverage for your RV, motorhome, camper trailer etc. If a guest cannot confirm insurance coverage for their unit, they will be required to vacate the Lighthouse RV Park
- Monthly stays are to be discussed with the Owner. If a guest is approved for a monthly stay it is limited to stays of 180 consecutive days and there are no exceptions
- Check-In time is 1:00 PM, Check-Out time is 11:00 AM. If you require an earlier check in we do our best to accommodate this but cannot guarantee your site will be available before 1:00 p.m.
- There is a MAXIMUM OF 5 PERSONS PER SITE and each site is for ONE family
- There are only TWO PETS per site rented. We only allow dogs at the RV Park.
- Quiet time is between 10:30 PM and 9:00 AM. If you have guests visiting with you at the Lighthouse RV Park, they will be asked to leave the Park property by 10:30 p.m.
- The owner of the RV and/or guest who rents the site is responsible for any damage that may be caused by his/her guests or pets.
- Guests scheduled to check-out early are authorized to pack-up and prepare for departure prior to 9:00 a.m. and we request that you try to be a quiet as possible to avoid disrupting your neighbors at the Lighthouse RV Park.
- The Lighthouse RV Park reserves the right to move RVs to another site, only if required, prior notice will be provided; (This is a rare occurrence).
- 5th wheels, travel trailers, motorhomes and truck campers only. We do not allow tents on the RV sites. There is a tenting area and tent sites are $27.00 per night per tent.
- Nightly and Weekly guests may install one pop up gazebo or sunshade on their site with a maximum space of 12 X 12 feet with screens however, these are not intended to expand your accommodation to more guests than you have reserved your site for.
- Visitors must check in with RV Park Management. Visitors are not permitted to park in the RV Park or on the RV sites. The RV sites cannot accommodate extra vehicles. Guests MUST park extra vehicles in the designated parking area.Guest Parking is available in front of the CANCO gas station.
- Guests of the RV park must park their vehicles on the RV site they have rented.
- RV Park guests are responsible for their visitors and guests. A Waiver of Liability will be provided for a guest to sign on behalf of your other occupants of your RV and any visitors you may have.
- Without prior approval of RV Park staff, no visitors after past 10:30 PM.
- Outdoor carpets are permitted on the gravel area of your site. A doormat that does not exceed 3’ x 5’ is acceptable. The outdoor carpets damage the grass so we request that you not lay down a carpet over the grass area of your site.
- Temporary fencing or pet enclosures are not permitted within the RV Park property.
- Clothes lines to dry laundry within the RV Park property is not permitted. Management may authorize air drying in special circumstances such as duvets and large sleeping bags.
- Storage canopies and permanent structures are not permitted within the RV Park property or on your site.
- No tarps covering RV, campers, trailers, etc. are allowed.
- Portable or fixed hot tubs are not allowed to be installed or operated under any circumstances.
- Guests who have excessive storage and clutter will be required to clean up their site and keep it presentable or relocate to another RV park and/or arrange to put your items in an offsite storage locker. The Lighthouse RV Park is a tourist accommodation, not a storage facility. Management will be happy to provide you with a contact number for a storage facility
- No utility or storage trailers are allowed.
- Monthly guests must ask management for approval prior to installing a canopy or rv skirting
- SEWER HOOK UP:
- You must have an airtight sewer fitting.
- Sewer hoses cannot be placed directly into the hook up opening.
- You are responsible for cleaning any sewage spills that may occur when hooking or unhooking your sewer line.
- A fee of not less than $150 will be charged for any black tank spills that require more extensive clean up.
- Fire bans are ADHERED TO by the Park. There are significant fines levied by the government if there are open fires during a fire ban. This includes propane fire pits.
- Guests are not permitted to move the fire-pit rings.
- Do not use firepit rings as garbage cans. Please do not leave garbage in fire pits or burn garbage in fire pits.
- No Cutting or Damaging trees or other vegetation.
- Other than during a power outage, generators are not permitted.
- Household appliances left outdoors are not permitted (freezers, refrigerators, etc.) If you arrive with a fridge on a trailer, in order to collect & store as many clams and oysters as you possibly can, we will not allow you to park these appliances on your RV site.
- Any persons who are gathering shellfish will be required to produce a valid, unexpired shellfish license. Please note: it is an offence to gather clams and shellfish without a proper license.
- Threatening or abusive conduct towards RV Park staff and other guests will not be tolerated. Abusive guests will be asked to vacate the RV Park.
- After one verbal warning for an infraction, you will be required to vacate your site and leave the Lighthouse RV Park.
NO SMOKING POLICY
The Lighthouse RV Park does not allow smoking of non-tobacco products on the RV Park property.
MARIJUANA: While marijuana may be legal, the Owner of the Lighthouse RV Park has a severe allergy to marijuana. There is absolutely no smoking of marijuana products on the RV Park property.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: There is ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ILLEGAL DRUG USE WHILE STAYING AT THE LIGHTHOUSE RV PARK.
If a guest if found to be using illegal drugs while staying on RV Park property they and their guests will be required to leave the park with no refund for the rest of their stay. Illegal drugs are a scourge on Canadian and other societies; these drugs destroy families and cause untold grief. The Owner of the Lighthouse RV Park has established the following rule: The use of illicit and illegal drugs is not tolerated at this property. If you want to use crack cocaine, methamphetamines, fentanyl, opiates and any other drug that is illegal or not prescribed by a medical practitioner you are not welcome to stay at the Lighthouse RV Park.
PET POLICIES
- Dogs are welcome at the Lighthouse RV Park (A MAXIMUM OF 2 dogs per site)
- Dogs must be leashed at all times. We do not have an off leash area on the property.
- Dog owners must clean up after their pet. This includes the beach and beachfront area.
- Aggressive dogs will not be tolerated. The Lighthouse RV Park reserves the right to have guests vacate the RV Park without a refund if they are not able to control their dog's behaviour, including barking and displays of aggression.
- Chicken coops or other enclosures are not permitted on the RV Park Property.
- Pet waste must be picked up immediately and deposited into the pet waste garbage bin located to the left of the Boat Basin area. Waste bags are provided.
Any violation of the pet policies will result in ONE verbal warning. Repeated violations of these policies specific to dogs will result in the guest being required to vacate the Lighthouse RV Park.
RATE POLICIES
- Check in time is 1:00 PM. We do our best to accommodate earlier check ins.
- Check-Out time is 11:00 AM. Unscheduled late check-outs will be charged an additional night.
- Rates are based on 4 occupants.
- Additional persons under 18 charged $5.00 per night.
- Additional persons over 18 charged $10.00 per night.
- Rates include one passenger vehicle per site.
- Additional vehicles are charged $5.00 per night or $30.00 per week. Other than the Pull-through sites. Many RV sites cannot accommodate additional passenger vehicles. Guests MUST park extra vehicles in the designated parking area.
- CABLE: The Lighthouse RV Park no longer provides complimentary cable television. Most guests rely on Wi-Fi and streaming devices and the cost of the monthly cable for 30 sites was prohibitive.
- BOAT BASIN
- RV Park Guests are authorized to use the boat launch. Launch fees are $10.00 per boat. Kayaks and canoes are exempt from the launch fee. We are unable to accommodate boat parking at our docks at this time.
- The Lighthouse RV Park is not responsible for any damage or injury resulting from your use of the boat launch and use of the boat ramp and launch is at your own risk.
- The docks are not available for mooring your boats at this time.
- No one except the oyster boat fishermen are allowed on the docks, especially children. The docks were damaged in 2024 by a winter storm and the docks are not secure and pose a risk. If guests or their children or invitees are found to be on the docks the Lighthouse RV Park will give ONE warning and if it occurs again, you may be asked to vacate the park with no refund.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY: The guest who is responsible for checking in for her or his party will be required to sign a Waiver of Liability on behalf of themselves and their guests, as it relates to the park and the boat basin. Only guests of the Lighthouse RV Park can access the boat basin look out area. Access to the docks is prohibited. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult if the children are playing at the boat basin look out area. The boat basin has an unstable frontage area and it is not fenced. It is a lovely place to sit and watch the sea life and sunsets but it is your responsibility to ensure you and your guests act responsibly. Access to the foreshore from the boat basin look out area is not allowed. There are large rocks located there to stabilize the foreshore and there is a risk of injury if you slip and fall. You can access the foreshore by walking on the south side of the boat basin. During high tide you cannot access the foreshore unless you have a boat or kayak as the boat basin fills with water and is quite deep. If you access the foreshore area during low tide, be aware of the incoming tide so you do not get stuck out there during high tide. Access and use of the boat basin look out area is at your own risk.

HYDRO CHARGES
Guests who are long term stays (30 to 180 days during the off season will be charged Hydro based on the actual hydro meter readings for the site being occupied. There is a $25.00 monthly administration charge in addition to the actual hydro usage charge.
