Nice campsites, a little close together, but level gravel and clean. Everything on the outside looks neat and clean and well maintained. We had trouble getting to the showers at first, because it looked like the gate was locked. The men’s didn’t have a sign on the door. Restrooms and showers are old and in need of a little TLC.

Campground was clan and well kept. We stayed over night on our way to NY and back home. It was convenient off of I 81. Dump station was very convenient to get to and use.

This is a great little spot if you are traveling along 81. Nothing fancy but nice big yard for the kids to stretch their legs and get rested for the rest of your trip.

Surprising stop! So glad we booked it. Not far off of 81 for anyone who’s travelling and nestled right in the James River that you have multiple access points to. Very quiet and easy to park. Loved the views, the property, and the pricing is perfect for overnights. Highly recommend!

Very smelly - the river is muddy and gives off quite a stank. We showed up and our site was occupied - nobody there to communicate and nobody answered the phone and didn’t call back. Seemed sketchy without a camp host.
