Long Lake Park — Reviews

Having visited this park for the past 9 years, we’ve noticed very few upgrades over the years—aside from the nicely paved entrance road, which seems aimed primarily at the new boat launch users (a feature we don't use). Most of the lake lots sit too low and flood during rainstorms. Furthermore, the staff could be much friendlier, and restroom maintenance needs better timing; cleaning shouldn't just begin around 9:30 AM when it should be finished by 8:00 AM.

Quiet, well kept, beautiful views, friendly staff

Even though the weather was bad it was still a pretty area.

We stayed about a week. Our campsites were right on the water. Close to Alpena. Friendly staff!!

Nice camp site on water. Not much of a beach area for swimming but can swim out from campsite after walking over rocks to deeper water. Average bathhouse but clean.

We had a great site on the water. . Clean area. Not loud. Would love to possibly do a week stay there next year.

Park very good location the campsite even better in waterfront !but sanitation area need a lot improve due only one Sewer discharge pipe! Also traffic direction there’s no sign one way or what way supost To drive and for last campsites need mow thethe grass.Trash containers didn’t see one nearby !

It was clean, quiet with a fairly level campsite. The lake was beautiful we wished we had brought our boat.

I've been to many state parks and I love this one. It's on the lake, there is electric and water, the camp host and those that work there are super friendly and it's so close to so many amazing places. Presque Isle has amazing beaches, there is awesome fishing on Long Lake and Grand Lake close and it's simply beautiful in the area.

Small sites, staff were nice but did not address the fact that people put half of their 12’x12’ tent on the site next to them, staff did not address loud music, mold and mildew in the showers, beautiful view of the lake but it was like a parking lot.

Sites to small, jammed together. No place to keep boat in water, bathroom had one toilet. The other bathroom was in bad shape. Launch was super nice. Long lake is a Great Lake. Campground was just disappointing.

Campground was clean and pretty well-maintained, the showers could use some de-molding. Felt safe there with my family. Lake view provided beautiful sunsets. Both days we were there, the person cleaning the bathhouse was not very pleasant. When I greeted her with "Good morning," she did not respond. While I was using the bathroom, she was talking to herself and said, "Why do I even bother?" She did a great job of maintaining and cleaning the bathrooms, but was clearly unhappy. The next day was similar, so I just said "Thank you for doing a great job." She just complained to herself about picking up toilet paper every day
