Marval Resort — Reviews

Rated3.0out of 5
It was very nice place to stay. The only thing I didn't like was on the last night when the power went out for the rest of the night. It was really hot in the cabin, and there were people that didn't respect the quiet hours.

Cabins are nice. We also go there with our 5 wheel trailer. Nice campsites.

We had to bring our own linens, which we thought was odd. I would consider rate it at 5 stars but I didn't like their firearm policy. They "strictly prohibit" them. I believe in our inalienable right to keep and bear arms. They need to fix this issue.

The staff was very friendly, the cabin was clean and was exactly what we expected. There is lots to do and the grounds are well maintained.

I have been going to Marval since I was a kid and it seems the cabins are getting run down. Also, my family & I were there Thursday-Sunday and Friday morning they had 2 guys out with loud leaf blowers for several hours. Then, they actually burned the leaves. Not only was the noise annoying, but the smell of the burning leaves wasn't great! I only interacted with the office when I checked in and they were very nice.

Campground has serious drainage issues. We had lots of rain and ended up with deep water standing everywhere. Need drainage system or grading work.

That place is amazing. People are so friendly. Bathrooms cleaner than mine at home. We where there last weekend which is part of their Halloween month. Insane fun. Kids and big kids loved it. If you can make it happen you should 100% do it! Everyone there was so happy and like family.

Good cabins for a weekend. A bit of updating on equipment of kitchen (utensils, appliances), as well as cleaning conditions is highly encouraged.

Overall the trip was good. Mix-up with the cabin not being ready at check-in, it was fixed. The only complaint the shower was really small, compared to one of the other cabins we stayed at. I think the issue was more with Campspot when the reservation was made, the website broke up the dates and had us checking in a day later. I review my upcoming trips so this doesn't happen again.
