Matagorda Fishing Paradise – Park Rules
Matagorda, Texas
Welcome to Matagorda Fishing Paradise! Our goal is to provide a relaxing, family-friendly coastal experience for everyone. Please help us keep the park safe, clean, and enjoyable by following these rules.
General Rules
1. Check-in time: 3:00 PM
2. Check-out time: 11:00 AM
3. Guests are responsible for the conduct of all family members and visitors.
4. Management reserves the right to refuse service or ask guests to leave for violations of park rules without refund.
5. All guests must be 25 years old or older to rent a campsite.
6. No prorations or refunds will be issued for early departures.
Quiet Hours
• Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Please keep music, televisions, and conversations at a respectful volume.
• Excessive noise, disorderly conduct, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
Speed Limit & Parking
• The speed limit throughout the park is 5 MPH.
• Drive carefully and watch for children, pedestrians, and pets.
• Park only in designated areas.
• Do not block roads, neighboring sites, or access areas.
Docks and Fishing Piers Rules
• The private fishing pier is for registered guests and their invited visitors only.
• Use the fishing piers at your own risk.The park accepts no liability for missing items or injury
• Children under the age of 13 must wear life jacket
• Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult.
• Please be courteous and share fishing space with others.
• No diving, swimming, running, or horseplay on the pier.
• Follow all applicable Texas fishing and wild life regulations and licensing requirements.
• Dispose of fishing line, hooks, and bait properly to protect wildlife and other guests.Do not use the trash cans for throwing away any fish parts or bait
Pier Night Lights
• Our fishing pier features night lights for guest enjoyment.
• Please be respectful of nearby guests during late-night fishing.
• Do not tamper with, damage, or climb on lighting equipment.
• Turn off personal speakers and keep voices low during quiet hours.
• Management may adjust lighting schedules for maintenance or weather conditions.
Fish Cleaning Station
• Fish cleaning is permitted only at the designated fish cleaning station.
• Do not clean fish at RV sites, on the pier, or in restrooms. Similar rules are commonly enforced at coastal Texas RV parks.
• Clean the station after each use.
• Fish parts and bait should be thrown back into the water responsibly
• Do not place fish carcasses in regular trash dumpsters.
• Report any maintenance concerns to park management.
Pets
• Friendly pets are welcome. Limit 2 pets per site.
• Aggressive animals will not be allowed in the resort. You will be asked to leave with no refund if your pet shows any aggressive tendencies or complaints are verified.
• Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet whenever outside.
• Owners must clean up after their pets immediately.
• Excessive barking or aggressive behavior is not permitted.
• We reserve the right to refuse or require the removal of any animal at any time.
• Pets may not be left unattended outside.
• Do not feed wild or stray animals.
Campfires & Grilling
• Grills are permitted.
• Fires are allowed only in designated fire pits or approved containers.
• Never leave a fire unattended.
• Observe local burn bans and weather restrictions.
Site Cleanliness
• Keep your site neat and free of clutter.
• Dispose of trash in designated dumpsters.
• Do not leave trash or food outside overnight.
• No clotheslines, tarps, or permanent outdoor storage.
• Please leave resort facilities as you would like to find them. Please clean up after using the facilities.
Safety & Liability
• Guests use all park amenities, including the fishing pier and dock areas, at their own risk.
• Management assumes no liability for loss or damage to guest property and/or injury to a person, pet, or visitors due to the use of resort facilities or caused by others on the premises.
• Please report unsafe conditions immediately.
• All children under the age of 18 must always be accompanied by an adult when they are using the common areas of the resort, or outside their assigned campsite.
• Common courtesy shall prevail between all persons in the resort. Respect people's privacy.
• Do not walk through occupied or unoccupied sites. Please use the roads and paths provided.
• Should the Sheriff be notified regarding a disturbance at your site, you will be required to vacate the resort without refund.
• All children under the age of 18 must always be accompanied by an adult when they are using the common areas of the resort, or outside their assigned campsite.
• The resort is not responsible for loss or damage due to fire, accident, theft, weather, or catastrophic events.
Respect the Coast
Help us preserve the beauty of Matagorda:
• Leave fish habitats and wildlife undisturbed.
• Do not litter in the water or on the property.
• Be considerate of your neighbors and enjoy the peaceful waterfront atmosphere.
Prohibited Activities
You may not access or use the Site for any purpose other than that for which we make the Site available.
Illegal drugs, as identified by the State of Texas, are prohibited in the resort.
No BB gun, pellet gun, air gun, and or paintball gun use is allowed in the resort. All weapons shall be kept in compliance with state/federal laws.
No peddling, soliciting, or business enterprise is allowed in the resort unless written consent is provided by ownership. Signs advertising the sale of products, services, or RVs are not permitted without prior written approval.
Generators and combustion engines of any kind are prohibited to be in use within the resort. Generators are permitted for use during emergency or power outage situations.
The use of profane, abusive, harassing, or threatening language or actions directed at personnel or other guests of the resort is prohibited and is grounds for immediate removal from the resort.
RV washing is allowed with prior approval. Fees apply.
Clotheslines and hanging laundry outdoors is prohibited.
No vehicle repairs or maintenance may be done in the resort unless approved by management
Swimming in the river is prohibited.
Vehicles & Site Occupancy
We welcome self-contained RVs including Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheel Trailers, Class A, B, and C Motor Homes, tear-drop campers, pop-up campers and truck campers.
One RV and one passenger vehicle is allowed per site.
Site occupancy is limited to 6 persons per site. Please contact our reservations team if your immediate family has more than 6 persons so they can help make your reservation. Any additional guests must be booked through the Reservations Team and must be booked for the entire length of the stay.
Outdoor items should be neat and orderly
Hazardous materials must be discarded properly. Do not dump anything on the ground that could harm landscaping, including motor oil, grease, gray or black water, cleaning chemicals, charcoal ashes, or cigarette butts.
Portable gas and charcoal grills are allowed.
Any stains on the concrete from vehicle leaks are to be cleaned up immediately. If we need to attend to the stain there will be a cleanup fee assessed.
Waste Disposal
Please do not leave any trash or trash cans out overnight. Only household trash is allowed in the dumpsters.
Please use the dumpsters onsite for your trash disposal.
RV Sewage
Texas law mandates the use of a sewer hose seal (threaded connector/rubber donut) this is Mandatory.
Our resort operates on a lift station. Please do not place feminine products, grease/fats, diapers, cat litter, paper towels, wet wipes, hazardous substances, syringes, or plastics down the drain/sewer. Please use RV toilet paper.
All water hoses and connections should be leak-free. All hoses, electric cables, and cords must be coiled neatly.
Insurance
Park highly recommends that each owner seeks both property and liability insurance at their expense to protect their property. The park assumes no responsibility for any damages, lost or stolen property.
Damages And Personal Liability
Any guest or visitor that willfully or negligently damages or destroys park property, landscaping, or equipment will be held liable for the value to repair or replace damaged items property.
The responsible party may be asked to leave for any damage.
Right To Refuse / Vacate / Deny Access
The Matagorda Fishing Paradise RV Park is a privately owned resort. Management reserves the right to refuse services, ask visitors to vacate, or deny access to anyone under any circumstances it deems necessary. There will be no refunds if asked to leave the resort.
Policy Changes
Since every contingency cannot be covered in a set of rules, from time to time, modifications may be necessary. Therefore, management reserves the right to make changes deemed necessary to these rules and regulations at any time without prior notice.
Boaters/Watercraft Operators
No mooring in someone else’s space or dock.
Use the fishing piers, fish cleaning station, boat lifts/slips and other features at your own risk.
