Matanuska River Park — Reviews

Close to town. Clean and quiet.

Tight spot - but for an overnight stay it worked for our schedule. The park has fresh water fill, Sami dump and showers . We didn’t use any of them. There’s an airport nearby and small aircraft practicing. All in all I would stay agin if need be.

The RV sites are too close to each other. The bathing facility was not very nice. The entrance layout (check in hut) was oddly placed between the dump station and the potable water fill. The dry side of the campground looked really nice; lots of foliage and space between sites. Also nice access to the river trail.

It was very well kept, nice and quiet.

Spots are too close together, barely enough room, less if you have a slide out. Otherwise okay, park and landscaping is nice, staff was great.

The park is extremely well kept. The management is very Friendly and Helpful and a very good price

Spots are very narrow so backing my camper in was difficult, luckily a couple fellow campers helped to guide me in. The people next to me had a dog that was never on a leash and at one point it ran under my camper and almost attacked my tiny dog. I emailed the park immediately after it happened but never heard anything back and their dog was never put on a leash (they did lock it up for a while but not for long). It was reasonably priced so I did extend my stay by one day so that I could go directly to my next rv park down the road without having to wait in my truck between checking out of this park and into my next.
