Cute campground! Very peaceful

Beautiful, quiet, friendly staff, great sites.

The campground was fine, I have a 40' toy hauler but there was no room to let down the back deck as it was hanging over a creek to get it into it's spot. Also, I have never been in a camp ground where (1) they wanted to charge for the motorcycle I brought in my toyhauler and (2) they were almost aggressive about my son coming to visit me for a few hours during my stay last Saturday! The approach to this campground in Balsam, NC is about 6 miles from Sylva and either way you go there are tight turns. I do not see a 43' tri axle getting into this place and one of the approaches has a clearance of only 12'7" ! Follow their instructions for getting there, which keeps you away from this low pass. The folks were nice but I felt the insurance company or owner has a stranglehold on them for guest and wanting me to pay extra for having brought a motorcycle...

It is a wonderful place to camp. It had creekside site that are very relaxing to listen to the creek run. All facilities and campground very well kept and clean. Bathrooms ere very clean with hot water. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. This campground is top of our list and we will be back.

Moonshine Creek was a wonderful place to stay! Tucked away in a quiet area but just a short trip to so many great places. The campground was clean & inviting. The bathhouse was literally the nicest & cleanest we have been to. Everything was so peaceful. The management was very friendly & helpful. If I had to to find even a tiny flaw, it would be that it was a little tight if you're not careful. You are escorted to your site & aided in backing in so even that is not a huge issue. We will definitely be staying there again.

Very nice campground! The staff were very helpful and friendly! The bathhouses were so clean! The campsites are well maintained and spacious. I really enjoyed the clear signs for directions and rules! We will 100% be coming back and bringing friends!

Peaceful, quiet campground great for relaxing weekend getaway

We had an amazing time camping here over the weekend. The location is great, not only do you back up to the creek which you can listen to all night long you're super close to Asheville. Our son had fun making s'mores and roasting hotdogs on the campfire. Pet friendly. Quiet. Super great hosts! Full RV hookups. We can't wait to come back!

What a great place to stay...so lush, beautiful creek, lots of butterfly's some of which I had never seen before, quiet and clean....great camp hosts committed to their guests comfort. I would go again in a heartbeat!

We loved the campground. However the no lights at night is inconvenient and dangerous. It caused injury when I tripped and fell. I would like to stay here again but will disregard the “no lights” rule.
