Moose Lake City Campground — Reviews

Rated4.0out of 5Great!
Campsites very close together. It was quiet. Nice location. The office was not open for a good portion of the time there. A member of our group had to cancel for medical reasons. He started calling 2 days ahead of the reservation to cancel, but no one answered the phone or got back to him and therefore he was changed for the whole stay. We finally were able to talk to someone and he get part of the money back, but ended up with $25 refund.

This campground is on the shores of Moose Lake, well maintained park. Bathroom and showers were clean…nice hot water! Sites along lake were well spaced…could walk into town if you wanted…right on a great bike trail! Even found the local pickleball courts and played with the locals!

I liked having some grass. Our picnic table was in poor shape. Could use some sanding and a new coat of paint. Not all picnic tables were in poor condition. Liked being close enough to town, yet out of the way. Very nice playground for the kids. Bring your tennis or pickleball rackets. Some grass was a bit long. City was mowing between rain showers while we were there. Nice docks for your boat.

We've never had a bad stay here and will definitely be back. This particular weekend was great weather. Nothing like warm fires and calm nights! Always beautiful by the lake.

We were next to a seasonal camper and they were so incredible inconsiderate of our space. They had a split on our water line so they could also use it whenever was convenient for them. The beach was so far away from the campsites. We did love having the playground so close to our site for our kiddos.

Would have been five stars but the dump station is a little congested with the dumpsters and it requires you to back in. I ended up using a full hookup site to dump instead. The beach is a wonderful hard sandy bottom with several hundred feet of beach shoreline. Our daughter has already requested we go back.

Clean bathrooms with great water pressure. Walking distance to places. Not a rowdy campground.
