Neil's RV Campground Evergreen Park is within walking distance of the TARA Centre, the Wild Horse Casino & Lounge and the Pines Family Restaurant as well as the Peace Country Archers facility, Grande Prairie Minor Baseball diamonds, Lewis Hawkes Pavilion, Drysdale Centre and Clarkson Hall. Grande Sunset Outdoor Theatre, featuring weekend movies spring and summer, is located across the road from the campground. You will NEVER run out of things to do in this area. It's the perfect getaway!

Satisfaction Rating

There was a big loud party going on right across from us. They set off fire works and loud crackers beside our trailer and there was no attendant on duty all weekend. Ambulance and fire truck showed up at 7 am.

There was no attendant at the campground for our stay so no access to the washrooms and showers Too many unsavoury people there. Fighting beside our camper at 5 am doing drugs/ over dosed and had to be taken away by ambulance Drunk people driving fast through the camp ground over pylons that had blocked off a roadway Could be much better managed as it is a nice area and close to the race way Have stayed multiple times in the past and this was the worst we have seen the campground

    Both the Wild Horse Casino & Lounge and the Pines Family Restaurant at Evergreen Park - just steps away from the Evergreen Park Campground - offer a full breakfast for just $7.95 and an Express Lunch for only $10. The breakfast goes from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily and the lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The lounge and restaurant are in the JDA Raceway Gordon Badger Stadium facility just to the east of the campground.

  • EVERGREEN PARK DISC GOLF COURSE

    May 4 - October 1

    The Co-op Community Disc Golf Course at Evergreen Park is open during the spring/summer/fall camping season. It is free to use and is located at the south edge of the Park (turn right at the ending of Parking Lot A, drive west on the gravel road to the intersection and then turn left and continue south for about a kilometre). Go to www.evergreenpark.ca and click on the Facilities tab and find the disc golf link.

  • OUTDOOR MOVIE THEATRE

    May 4 - October 1

    Grande Sunset Theatre is the only permanent outdoor movie theatre in Northwestern Alberta. It is located across the road from the Evergreen Park Campground in Parking Lot A. It shows movies on various weekends during the spring/summer/fall and is also available to rent for private functions. Information on the theatre can be found at www.evergreenpark.ca (click on the Outdoor Theatre green button under the slider) and at the end of that information will be a link to the Grande Sunset Theatre Facebook page which will outline what movies are playing and when as well as providing a link for tickets. The outdoor theatre is operated by the Grande Prairie Family Education Society.

  • WILD HORSE CASINO & LOUNGE

    May 4 - October 1

    Wild Horse Casino & Lounge is open 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily at Evergreen Park for slot play and off-track horse race betting. It features 99 slot machines and VLTs as well as the live off-track betting. There are a dozen screens showing horse races from around the world, programs and betting machines. The lounge includes chef-inspired meals with specials and a new menu. For the month of June all regular meals are 20% off. In the same complex is the Pines Family Restaurant - open to all ages. Both the Wild Horse and Pines Family Restaurant Feature a $4.95 full breakfast from 9-11 a.m. daily.

  • EVERGREEN RIDGE RECREATION AREA

    May 4 - October 1

    Located northeast of Evergreen Park, Evergreen Ridge Recreation Area is a non-motorized day use area suitable for year-round hiking, cycling or horseback riding. The area has 99 wooded acres immediately north of PARDS with some gentle rolling topography. Natural surface trails run throughout the site and lead into the Crown Land to the east. There is a porta-loo and refuse containers in the parking lot off Range Road 55. Within Evergreen Ridge Recreation Area, the following restrictions apply: no overnight stays; No OHV's or vehicular access; pets must be on leash and under control; and no fires. These restrictions do not necessarily apply in Crown land outside of the Rec Area. To access the area take the road outside the fence at the north end of the campground and head east. Continue across the road at the T intersection where you will find the Evergreen Ridge Recreation Area.
