Newberry Campground — Reviews

Need a bathhouse in back of camp ground.needs maintenance all around park.tables need repair. I would not stay there again.

We had a 1 night stop at Newberry Campground. Got in around 5pm. Unloaded, went for a swim in their heated pool and played a round of mini golf with the kids. Finished the night off with dinner and a couple loops around the park. We had no issue with noise and the camp attendance were great and very accommodating. Great place overall.

It was clean friendly staff was awesome heard pool was really good but had other stuff that we were doing to use it this time would definitely be back

It was a great weekend! Campground store was well stocked and great customer service. Crystal clear pool and very clean campground. We were very happy!

Stayed here due to pretty good reviews found and also one of the few campgrounds that had an opening for a week. Campground overall was decent. It was quiet at night and never had an issue with critters. We had issues the first day with the power (50amp service) that kept tripping our watchdog surge protector out. Got ahold of the campground and 2 visits later, they brought us a watchdog voltage booster which kept us going during our stay with only a few power flickers after that. Not much grass around our site but our outdoor rug took care of that for us. About an hour from most everything that we wanted to do for the week in all different directions. Would likely not stay here again if it was in the mid 70’s-80’s out due to the power issues.

My group and I enjoyed every bit of our camping expirience.

Conveniently located to day trips to various UP tourist spots. Bathrooms could have used more consistent attention and quiet hours enforced. But all in all it’s a good camp ground. Friendly staff.

Great host, nice facility and it was center for all the sites we went and visited. Even on cool nights the pool was warm and clean. Putt Putt was free and very challenging. I would stay here again.

We always have a great time. The owner Mary is always pleasant. Mary does an excellent job with everything, also staff so nice.

No WiFi they advertise that they have it on property there was none

Site layout poor. Never had to be face to face with next door campsite. Very awkward. Not level at all. Drain for tanks runs up hill. WiFi not usable

Good location for a base to see UP of Michigan. Within travel distance of a lot of activities. Cool little town and the people were great.
