It was a quiet relaxing atmosphere in may.

Very friendly stuff. Peaceful and quite campground. Super well kept. Bathrooms and showers were well maintained and clean.

Great site, fun

North shore is a fairly decent campground for tents and trailers. There are a lot of long term campers there in almost all the good spots so you have to book early if you want a flat and wide spot for your rv/trailer. They are accommodating if you need to move sites and they have extras available. When the lake is full almost every site is a less than 500ft from the lake. Prepare yourself for a load of dust/dirt, wonky hookups on the front door of the trailer in some spots and a ton of hexagena flies during the hatching in june.

I did not get to stay at Northshore Campground. They had me signed up for June 2, when it should have been July 2. They use Campspot for reservations. Be very careful when reserving through Campspot.

We had a great time, We had a great view of the Lake, and right by restrooms, that were well kept, clean and neat. Can't wait to go back!

Campsites are a bit cluttered. There are so many fees for everything. Bear boxes should be updated. I think all RV sites should be pull through. The cost per night is relatively high but overall it wasn’t too bad. The capacity per site should not be 6.

Lake had blue algae in it and we were not notified until we arrived. We were also not given an email confirmation for our stay. Because of this we called, texted and emailed multiple times with no return calls well before our trip. We booked a second site to make sure we had a spot. Hours before we left, we were notified we had 2 reservations and they would not refund us for one.

The campground itself seems like a nice place and it’s run well, but the lake was really gross. It’s low, warm and had dead fish and crawfish floating everywhere. It was particularly hot so not being able to get in the water was a bummer.

The camp sites were very close together and we didn't see any of the hiking trails that were promised on the website. The lake was also not particularly accessible for swimming and the quiet hours were not enforced so people were yelling and playing music really loud until 2am. The views across the lake were pretty though and the fire pit was really helpful.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The amenities (showers, bathrooms etc.) we’re clean and pleasant. The campsites could have used a walkthrough and a slight pickup after the last campers due to trash, dog poop and discarded food. But all around great place and will definitely visit again.

The beach for swimming could have been better for children. Other than that everything was excellent.
