Oak Hollow Campground — Reviews

No bathroom in section C. Why wait till Furniture Market? Should have been finished by now.

Oak Hollow is one of my favorite places to camp. Great location, FH, amazing views and pool is definitely a added bonus. We were not able to book in section C this time, was told by front desk they were completely full but there were plenty of spots available. I am aware the bathroom facilities are under construction, which we never use so I’m not sure why they didn’t allow us to book.

Friendly and well prepared staff. Good looking sites that are well maintained.

Came for work for one week, it was so great we had to stay an extra week. The wifi is 6/10 and water pressure is abysmal but at the end of the day we loved it and want to visit again. Great for fishing.

We had. Nice stay and did enjoy the park. The park could use a laundry facility. The staff was awesome!

Great place if you are going to fish and are aware of what you are getting. The view was very nice. The platform fit our 2 three person tents, chairs, tables and coolers well. However, there was no fire ring, no alcohol permitted(isn’t beer a given when fishing?), the bathrooms were beautiful/clean/modern but located at the end of the RV sites road-strange placement since the tent people are the ones that mostly use it-the trail to get to it was uphill, had holes and was covered by leaves so we slipped and couldn’t see the holes to avoid due to leaves. The sink to clean dishes is great but wasn’t working. The freeway was close and noise echoed over the water-we heard every siren and racer on the road the 1st night-maybe since it was 1st day of spring the noise decreases as the trees fill in?We had a 2night reservation but left in the morning after 1 night. The ranger also drove by about 6 times in the first 3hours -no hello, just looking. It felt weird. We had site 8 specifically for the electric-maybe it’s normal to anticipate the sites on either side might run their cords through our site to also access the box? Never seen that before. There is no privacy/greenery between platforms. This might be bothersome depending on who your neighbors are. Can’t say we’ll be back. Would be good for others, I suppose.

Friendly staff, plenty of room between campers (but that causes the need for l o n g water hose (hello Walmart). The bath house in area A is newly renovated and excellent.

It was a very nice place had a good time

Great spot on our route back home when we travel South to North. Beautiful views of the lake and a good place to walk a dog. Easy in and out.

Small campground about an hour from home for a quick getaway for us to relax and near my Sister-in-law. Plenty of food places if you don't want to cook. You can chill by the water and fish, play golf, or take your boat out.

This really is a nice campground. Stayed in section A where the restrooms had recently been updated/redone. That said, there were not nearly enough hooks in the shower stalls. My stall had one hook, and that was it, no bench seat, no nothing. I think the folks that build or redo bath houses should be forced to actually use them in order to fully understand what is needed. Otherwise, the bath house/restroom refurbish was quite nice.

Very convenient to High Point, Winston Salem and Greensboro. Quiet and peaceful lakefront setting
