    The Prancing Pony Guest House

    The Prancing Pony Guest House at Edendell sleeps 17 and with the futon in the living room up to 19. There are 7 bedrooms, 1 full bath and a dorm style bathroom with 3 shower stalls, 3 toilet stalls, and 4 sinks. There is a laundry room with two washers, and two dryers. The outside patio features a gas grill, charcoal grill, fire pit, two picnic tables, and a hot tub! Hot tub usually closes for July and August. The grounds has a large pond for swimming, catch and release fishing, and kayak practice. We rent kayaks and offer shuttle service to the Ouachita River. The closest put in is just a few minute away. Adventurers of all kinds love to use The Prancing Pony as a basecamp for exploring the Ouachita National Forest. We are a favorite for ATV trails, crystal mines, hiking, kayaking, swimming holes, and even Lake Ouachita! Feel free to contact the owners with any questions at all!

    Glamping Deck

    Edendell's 2nd story Glamping Deck offers the best of camping with the comfort and convenience of being at home! We prepare a full size bed so no need to bring a bed roll. In cold weather we add an electric blanket, in warmer weather we add a fan. On the deck there is a mini fridge, coffee maker with coffee, oatmeal, etc., charcoal grill, gas grill, hammock swing, patio table and chairs. An upstairs walk through Edendell's garden takes you to the campground facilities which includes showers, bathrooms, free laundry, and a kitchenette. (We do not stock the kitchen so bring your own cooking things.)

    RV Site #12 is our most loved site! It is the last site with the mountain view, large yard and fire ring. The valley view of the pond is lovely! We allow catch and release fishing, swimming, and kayak practice in the pond. Visitors come to explore the Ouachita Mountains but often end up staying just to enjoy the beauty of Edendell!

    We stayed on there glamping Deck and it was perfect for our little family. This location was perfect for the adventures we had planned around Arkansas. It was quite and off the beaten path while still being about 45 min to an hr from a lot of really cool stuff in all different directions! There are also some really cool trails 10 min up the road if your interested in a beautiful water fall and a little caved tucked away in the back that the owner pointed us towards. Me my husband and our 2 y/o loved the view and the property so much room for her to run and play and find her favorite toy ever rocks🤣(my toddler have never been much of a climber and we brought a pack and play for her to sleep in so the 2nd story porch was not a concern for us) The owners were beyond accommodating! When the weather took a turn and ended up being much colder than anticipated Joanna called me a few days before hand just to give me a heads up since she knew we had a little one in toe and to check if we needed anything extra to keep her comfortable at night. When we got there they even had an extra little chair and some toys for my daughter to play with which she loved! We will definitely keep this place in mind for our next Arkansas adventure!
