Pit toilets are a level of hell. Shouldn’t be much bother to install a few Home Depot flush toilets( around a hundred bucks or so a piece. ) Not expecting the Hilton, but really…

Can’t moor your boat on shore so no fishing like we used to do. Our friends can’t come because of the restrictions on campers. Rates went up and amenities went down. Also there are no site numbers on the website so you’re not totally sure which site it is.

The stay was lovely. We have a small camper so no need to use pit toilets so can’t speak to that. Campground was clean and well kept. Very quiet unlike the resort camp grounds we try to avoid. Stayed in site 4 where we met a local couple who feeds the ducks cracked corn every night. Once the ducks had their fill the resident rats came out for leftovers.

The campgrounds are primitive, as advertised, but most of them require a lot of modification to fit an RV of any size. It seems to be best suited for tent camping, that said, the sanitary facilities leave much to be desired. Smelly and not very clean.

Our favorite place to camp . Beautiful views, well kept ! John the manager is great as well as his helper Dan . Have been camping here for many years . My grand kids who range from 19 yrs old to 23 yrs old do not know what it is not to camp here every year . God willing I have a few more camping seasons left !
