Port of Kimberling Resort & Campground — Reviews

Well I would have gave a 10 star rating but it only goes to 5 stars! I gave a 5 star because I love the view, the peace and quiet, and the whole layout of the campground! Also the staff were much more than accommodating and genuinely care about the people that stay there! I would camp here or stay at the resort hotel anytime!!

Great location and feasible price!

This is truly a wonderful campground. I was in space 46 and feel it might be the best back-in available. Staff is so friendly and the park has a beautiful view of the Marina and a swim Area so easy to walk to. In my top 2 for favs! I will be back.

Camp sites were kind of close where we were, the bathrrooms were clean, staff was super friendly and helpful.

It ended up being great but only after a VERY rocky start. I learned a lesson that when you reserve a spot that is best available it does NOT mean that they pick you the best spot available the day (we reserved a month in advance) you pay. It means you get what ever scrub spot is left after those that chose to pay the extra $10 to lock in their site number. I thought I was being nice letting them pick my spot after all in my opinion there usually aren’t any bad spots in a campground right? Wellll wrong we weren’t even placed in a campground we were across the cove on a completely different branch of the report jammed in between two parking lots next to the bath house out in the open. It was awful 😭. Now we did end up getting it worked out where we were able to downgrade to just electric rather than full hook up and were able to stay inside the campground on the bluff and it was absolutely beautiful and how camping should look and be!!! They did refund us the difference in rates as well. We will consider staying again but this time will know that we need to pay the extra $10 to secure a decent site!

Quiet, relaxing, lot of trees,

Site was quiet and comfortable right by the water. Walking distance to the Pier 28 and the food & drinks were delicious. Boat rental was right next door and fun. Great place. Will defiantly stay here again. Everything was perfect and very reasonable rates.

Your staff was so helpful. Someone called us a few days before our arrival and said that a better spot had opened up and they wanted to offer it to us. It was perfect. The resort was neat, clean and very quiet.
