Ragans Family Campground — Reviews

This is our 5th year @ Ragans for July 4th, you can see the improvements to the park. The event planners did a great job this year, hoping the fireworks display will be back on track next year, this year wasn't quite the same.

This was an absolutely terrible campground. All amenities closed at 7pm. No laundry- nothing open. Spent more money on this site to not even get to use any amenities and then attacked by insects because they do not keep up the grounds. Bathrooms had roaches all over them. Sites were swarming with gnats, spiders, giant grass hoppers, and ants! Seemed like they mowed grass. Sites were not distinguishable, gravel was covered with overgrown grass and weeds. Site was serious false advertising. It did not look anything like what the pictures look like. They used some intense filters.

Beautiful spot, the park is big and nice. We stayed with the lake view and it was relaxing and quiet.

We had a great time with our granddaughter and she absolutely loved the big new playground and jump pad. That being said, the other play equipment elsewhere on property was showing its age and the small playground is a tetnus shot waiting to happen. (LOTS of sharp rusty holes and edges.) Bathhouse was clean if not dated. We did not use any water park facilities as they were closed for winter. We knew going in more or less what to expect, so we werent dissappointed. The park is showing age, though. (We had stayed here about ten years ago when it was under different management.)

Easy check in. Golf cart escort to find no my spot. Truly big rig friendly.

This is our 3rd year ringing in the New Year at Ragans. Each year more family comes and we had over 25 people join us. It’s a blast and the kids have the run of the place. The firework show is great! My only request is they repair the giant tether ball and go back to having more planned activities. We will be back next year!

Amazing ammenities.

The campground was beautiful. The grounds were well manicured and clean. All of the activities to participate in amazing! The staff was always very friendly. We will definitely be back!

I enjoyed the train ride a lot

Family oriented, clean bathrooms and showers, waterpark was nice and well maintained. Only one thing negative was grass was not cut.

Has pool,lazy river,fishing,atv trails..Nice family place to stay
