First off let me make it very clear that this campground has the potential to be one of the great ones. With that being said prior to booking this campground I called to find out when the slide, lazy river etc. would open up (knowing we are coming out of our Florida winter!) I assumed it had been closed for the season. When I contacted the front desk I was told that it would be open April 1st. Which worked perfect for our sons 12th birthday April 4th. Now mind you this is all being done probably a month in advance and honestly one of the MAIN reasons we picked this place. We'll this weekend when we got to the campground upon checking in we were informed the opening date is April 15th. We were a party of two. Four adults that could've been just fine with the pool. Six children that were very disappointed. To make it worse the staff member that checked us in didn't really seem to care when we commented on the situation. I don't expect it to open but I expect them to have customer service skills. We also were without water for some time on Saturday. Again we have six kids but we made do and we're thankful they were able to fix that problem. I think communication is key and important dates like the slide etc. opening and closing is something that can easily be put on their website. Pool was great. Not so little store has something for everyone's wants and needs. It wasn't busy so it was very quiet! We stayed on the lake so the kids could fish! Just wish communication was better regarding important dates and I know it wasn't the front desk employees birthday but have a little compassion when you ruin the kids birthday right out the gate. As I said before this place has the potential to never have a spot left open it just needs some love! Stay dates: 4/4-4/6 Site: RV25

Accommodations were excellent, sites were great, amenities were plentiful. Our first site was by the interstate and o asked if we could move. Not only did they accommodate, they also didn’t charge me any more for moving. We will be back with the grandkids.

When making reservation no place to give Good Sam number to receive my discount. Given a site where the electricity stand was on the wrong side. There were many pull through sites available, it would have been nice for one night stay to have a convenient site.

My stay was fine . I am sorry that your Campground was damaged by the recent hurricane. I wish I had more time to stay because I would have liked to help you clean up. I needed to get back to the Tampa area to clean up my own mess from Milton. God speed on your recovery I’m sure the campground will recover.

We had to evacuate from St Petersburg for hurricane Milton. The office was so accomodating with out needs and adding extra days. They had damage from Helene and still made our stay excellent..

Even though the staff was busy trying to clean up from hurricane Helene and only had one computer working in the office, we were treated very well. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Restrooms were spotless.

We were amazed at how quickly the campground got up and running after Helene. The staff was amazing. We evacuated there from Homosassa ahead of Milton and Aimee in particular took excellent care of us stressed out RV newbies while other staffers helped us set up for the first time. Beautiful campground with wonderful people.

We were running from hurricane Milton and had no idea where we were going, I used the Campspot app and found this place. The RV park itself is in recovery from Helena which ripped through just 2 weeks ago. Trees were down everywhere and the water park was closed due to 2 trees in the lazy river, however that did not stop us from realizing that this is a really cool place. So much to do here. We will be back.

Really nice park with tremendous employees. We evacuated from Tampa for Hurricane Milton and everyone at Ragans was super nice and helpful. Will return again (when not running from a hurricane!).
