Rancho Seco Recreational Park — Reviews

We stay there a lot and normally never have issues, the last few times we have stayed we have had issues. This time at check in, lady at the gate was very very rude, our fire ring was not cleaned out, and our trash was never dumped in the two nights we stayed. Not sure what the point is of 3 hours in between check out time and check in for new people if they still don’t clean up what they’re suppose to.

The best vacation ever

Overall nice campground. Third time visiting, would like beach hours posted at the beach, the entrance and online. It is hard to plan without that information. Would have liked to have known there was a triathlon going on. An improvement would be a dual dump station instead of single.

Too crowded, beach area doesn’t have enough space, can’t swim outside of roped area, cant stand with your paddle board outside of roped area, no shade tarps allowed on beach, can’t park your RV opposite from another RV, worms in lake water.

I tried to cancel my stay 3 days a head and surprising I left so many voice mails but no reply on my voice mails. I even tried to call the number listed but they keep on directing me to the other number and all you coupe do is leave voicemails and no one called back

The place is beautiful but we have a really but experience with security and staff they don't have any respect to people we understand rules but the way security approach to us was very rude , we ask for the restroom to be clean and the answer of the staff was this is not a 5 star resort this people is asking for too much I don't think is a way to respond .we understand was many people but always treat people with respect is very important

Clean quiet and great staff!

Only downfall is they close swimming area at 530pm. It’s still very hot and sun is out for 3 more hours. In all my years have never seen where swimming is cut off at 530pm especially on a weekend. Kinda crazy to me as it is summertime. They need to rethink the hours for this

Awesome place, the Jupes were amazing.

we love the stay and the facilities but, the securities were constantly checking on us every 3 minutes during the night and at the beach. They were too closed and it felt like there were no privacy. First night they were on top of us but the group on the side were loud and the securities won't tell them anything since they continue until 2 am.

We were unable to stay due to the presence of several wasps at our site. We considered changing sites but noticed the wasps beginning to follow. I regularly reserve that particular site and have a very pleasant stay. Unfortunately, I may have somehow disturbed a nest upon arrival. I will no doubt make reservations in the near future and look forward to our usual pleasant experience!

Great customer service with ray very nice guy

We have stayed at Rancho Seco every year for the last 5 years. My family and I really enjoy it there. The staff is great, new and old. We will be returning in July!
