Beautiful location. Great facilities. Nice people.

I am a repeat customer. I visit once or twice a year. I love this campground. This past trip, the only thing I noticed was the sewer smell each time you walked past the first restroom. It was bad.

I want to preface this review by saying that my one interaction with actual campground staff was pleasant at check in. That being said, the seasonal campers were incredibly unfriendly and put off weird vibes. We’ve been full-timing for more than 3 years & have never felt so put off by a campground. An intoxicated woman ran out in front of our truck and blew cigarette smoke into our window as she yelled at us to slow down because her kids were playing; we were going 5 MPH which is the speed limit in the park. I saw her do this to the one other vehicle with out-of-state plates shortly thereafter, despite people with New York plates that were part of their group coming in faster. Then on Saturday night, someone roared in on a Harley at midnight, yelled, then proceeded to leave their dog outside barking all night. The bathrooms were also disgusting and missing screens on the door. They charged for internet; we have Starlink so we didn’t use it, but heard someone explaining to an older woman that it was $20 for 7 days. And in 3+ years of full-timing, this was the first place I’ve had to buy water to drink because theirs had the syrupy consistency of Gatorade and tasted very salty. Overall, this campground is located in a beautiful area very close to a national wildlife refuge, which was the reason for our visit, but I would never stay here again.

The stay was good overall. The fire pit was a little farther from the camping area than we expected, so having it a bit closer would have been nice. Our site was also more open to the other campers than we anticipated. Since this was our first time staying at Rivers Crossing, we weren’t sure what to expect in terms of privacy. The exit process was a little chaotic, as you have to wait for everyone who is leaving and pumping before you can get out, which was unexpected. We also found the campground entrance a bit difficult to navigate with a fifth wheel, both entering and exiting. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the campground; these are just a few things that would have made the experience even better

New owners are doing a great job!

I really enjoy spending time with my camp friends who camp here. The mosquitoes are unbearable this year, they seem to be immune to deep outdoor spray. Bring in your own drinking water. The prior owners were a major reason why I came here.

Our cabin was wonderful! The entire campground was clean, well-maintained and welcoming!

Site was beautiful, waterfront & access, pretty level and very large. No shade there but several other sites were well shaded. Campground was nice, smallish, quiet & private. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Very nice place to stay obviously it’s a bit buggy with it’s location, but I’d 💯 stay again… pool was refreshing and everyone was so friendly…

1st, the owners were amazing the moment we pulled in by welcoming us.. We enjoyed our weekend with friends. They had an amazing band on Saturday night along with a Cajun boil.. We can’t wait to go back again.. The weather was perfect.. They also have 2 cottages on the river with lots of indoor and outdoor space.. Thank you Sandy and Eric..

Campsite was easy access from the Highway 90 although we were driving on 20 (as we like smaller roads with scenery), it was still not that much farther. We needed a pull through site because we were simply going through the area on our way home and as it was the end of the season, they had quite a few. Fortunately, as our camper had already been winterized, the pool through sites were near the bathroom (the shower house was quite a bit down the road, but that did not bother us. The owner was fantastic, he even found a camp chair for my husband, who had forgotten his. There is a pool, and it was still open in September. but the hours did not work for our travel. 😕 The, campground was very clean and quite walkable and lovely views of the lake. There looked like there were many lovely, shaded sites, although we were grateful, as it was a little chilly, not to have shade. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone passing through for one or even a few nights. It really is a great Campground.

Nice little campground. Staff very friendly and helpful. Got a nicer spot for my trailer with rear patio without even asking. Everything well-kept besides the bathrooms in the rear area, those are are an outhouse and as a man might be usable but I would not "sit" there. Smell wasn't nice either. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay there. Very kids friendly spot, Kajaks for rent available the the overal location is great. Several access points/ docks to get into the water. Had very good TMOBILE cell signal, highway nearby but could not hear a thing.

I really enjoy staying here. I enjoy the water, dark skies, sunsets and sun rises. All the seasonal sites are super friendly wave, invite you over for a fire. I have stayed probably 10 weeks this summer on and off while working in the area and every site I have stayed at has been good. The owners are super friendly. I like it more during the week, but thats my personal preference.

Great location. Nice views. Water tasted pretty nasty. Fire ring on an incline … weird. Sight large and comfortable. A little close to the neighbors but overall a good find.
