The campground is very well maintained and the restrooms are the nicest we have ever seen in an RV park. The owners were very nice to talk with and we had a lovely 3 days. The koi pond is very pretty and serene.

This is our 3rd time at this campground, always clean and never any problems. It is a perfect location for JMU drop off days and state park hikes

Cna’t say enough nice things! First of all, staff were friendly and so helpful. Our site was more than large enough for our 43’ fifth wheel. The “swimming hole” in the Shenandoah south fork provided a much needed cooling off on a very hot/humid day. Plenty of room for walking/biking and the playground area looked fun for kids. We even found pickleball courts in Broadway (about a 20 min drive away). We will be staying here again when passing through!

Rivers Edge is the perfect definition of a campground. It was so quiet and peaceful. Spacious camp sites and everything was very well maintained. We had site 13 right along the river and added bonus was a bald eagle nest in the tree right across the river. Great walking trail that leads to the swimming hole and two ponds with a lot of rabbits, birds and a few deer. It was a very relaxing week with plenty to do in the area or just enjoy the serenity in the campground.

The campground is only in its 3rd season, but it has SO MUCH to offer. The sites are full hook-ups for reasonable prices and the bathhouses far exceed anything you have seen (even in hotels). Peaceful with wonderful hosts who are as down to earth as they come. We will definitely be back!!

We've stayed at River's Edge many times since they opened.  We.  Love.  This.  Place! The owners, Steven and Miranda are wonderful people.  Friendly, considerate, professional, and just all around great people. Although this review is listed for last year's visit  ... we've stayed there twice already in 2025 and have another reservation for this week.   We've stayed at other sites over the years ... but this is by far our favorite place! We've met and interacted with a couple different camp hosts over our time there as well.  There has never been an occasion where the host(s) haven't been very approachable, friendly, and attentive to any issues that were brought to their attention.   I've seen recent reviews where people are criticizing the camp host and the quiet hour rules.   Well ... I'm pretty sure quiet hour rules are pretty much the same all over.  At 10pm ... it's time to settle down and be respectful of other campers.  If your music can be heard at the other end of the camp ground ... it's too loud.   As for the camp host(s) ... I like a host that respects my privacy but is available for any issues that develop [noise] or any issue that I may discover.  That is exactly what I've experienced in every one of my stays at Rivers Edge.

This campground is super peaceful and relaxing. The owners and their guests were super friendly. It is a throwback to how camping should be with an emphasis on being with family and nature. The camp store has everything you could need (because something is always overlooked). You can see the heart and soul from the owners- clean and beautifully designed facilities from the private bathrooms to manicured ponds. There are stunning mountain views, and an amazing trail to a perfect swimming hole with crystal clear water. We can’t wait to return.

Camp site was very nice. Nice sized lots, plenty of activities for the kids, and beautiful scenery/trails to hike. The owners are on site and very active with the community. Positives: Bathroom/shower combos that were cleaned every day and water pressure was great. Kids play area with jumbo jumper and swings. Hiking/driving trails. Camp store has a little bit of everything. Water front creek/river. Negatives: No laundry on site. Wouldn't reccomend for long term campers. Fire pits have no vent holes making it difficult to light a fire. Camp host was only on site on the weekend and were unpleasant to be around. Chain smoking couple that doesn't wave or say hello.

A great smaller campground with beautiful natural scenery and very well maintained restroom/showers. Very close to National Forest, but not as close to the typically visited known attractions in the area. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The Wifi worked great, but be aware this area has no cell phone and/or GPS coverage (not even Garmin, can't speak to Starlink). Unfortunately we could only stay one night because we were mid-travel, but will definitely put this on our list to come back.

This campground had a very homey feel. The hospitality was outstanding, it was extremely clean and the campsites were great for our big rig. It was also very pet friendly. There is a hiking trail and a koi pond, as well as a rock garden where we painted and left a rock. 10/10 would recommend.
