Love this campground they are making so many updates amd improvements!! My kids love it here and so close to town and trails and the Muskegon river! Definitely coming back!

The main park did not look as expected…. Very run down. The rustic park didn’t feel safe to me. Very secluded and you had to park your vehicle and walk to you site. I did not stay due to safety concerns

Camp was easy to get to. The sites were primitive but nicely cared for. The camp host was very helpful and friendly.

The location of the tent site was perfect - there were two areas of tent sites at Riverside East & we chose site 10, it was nice and secluded.

Nice, small campground run by the city of Evart. Short two night stay on a river site (#5) was great. Camp host is friendly and informative. We walked into town via a walking/bike path and stopped by the Farmers Market on Saturday and also got some ice cream treats at the Dairy Whip. Brought our tandem Kayak and launched right from our campsite, paddled 2.5 miles upstream (good workout) and floated back. Facilities are a little dated but everything works just fine. One shower room in each restroom and the water had good pressure and nice range of temperature. Firewood available at the campground and nicely priced at $4 a bundle. Cell service (AT&T) at the campground fluctuated from one bar or nonexistent but the campground had WiFi with decent speed (129 Mbps down/11 Mbps up…via Speedtest) Overall a relaxing stay and the price is hard to beat!

This is a lovely small capacity park right on the Muskegon River. Large camp sites, nicely maintained and convenient utilities. Being a smaller park, you can expect fewer and smaller amenities, but still a nice getaway. Phone service was somewhat iffy at times.

We had a very relaxing, enjoyable weekend. The campground was almost empty, so it was very quiet. Camp host was friendly. The campground was very basic. It’s like the campgrounds that I remember from when I was a kid. We are already checking to see when we can go back again.
