Rural Retreat Campground is my favorite place to camp. The upgrades that were done to some of the sites were fantastic. Wythe County needs to allot more monies to the campground. This is a gem that could make the county more money.

The campground is well kept and the staff is very helpful. We stayed in site 62, it was large and well shaded with great access to the water. Because of the tree coverage our Starlink didn't work well, the bathhouses also have a lot to be desired.
