Rusty’s RV Ranch – Guest Terms & Park Rules

Welcome to Rusty’s RV Ranch! We’re delighted to have you with us. To help preserve the peaceful atmosphere, natural beauty, and comfort of the park for all guests, please review the following guidelines.

Dark Sky Community

We are proud to be part of a dark sky community. Please help us protect our beautiful night skies for stargazers, astro photogrophers, and fellow guests.

  • Turn off all exterior lights at night.
  • Close curtains or blinds at night when indoor lights are on.
  • Keep flashlights pointed toward the ground.
  • If you must drive after dark, please avoid using high beams.

Thank you for helping us preserve the stars.

Check-In / Check-Out

  • Check-In: 12:00 PM
  • Check-Out: 11:00 AM

If you need an early arrival or late departure, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you based on availability.

Parking

  • Please park only in your designated site driveway or designated parking areas.
  • Vehicles should be parked directly in front of or behind your RV/unit in a straight formation.

 

Fire Pits

  • Please check for current burn bans in Rodeo, New Mexico before using fire pits.
  • Fires must be attended at all times and fully extinguished when finished.
  • Please do not move fire pit rocks or alter the fire pit area.

Grilling

  • Please do not place grills directly on picnic tables. If you do not have a heat proof mat, please use ground or your own personal stand.
  • Help us keep wildlife away by cleaning grease and food residue after use.

Roadways & Speed Limit

  • Please drive on designated roadways only.
  • Maximum speed limit is 15MPH.
  • Do not drive through empty campsites or on walking paths.

Children

Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times in all areas. Please be aware that desert wildlife, including venomous snakes, may be present.

Laundry & Washing

  • Vehicle washing is not permitted.
  • Window cleaning is allowed.
  • Clotheslines are not permitted. Please use the laundry room washers and dryers provided. Laundry facilities are open 24 hours. Quarters are available in the office during office hours.

Pets

We welcome well-behaved pets!

  • Pets must be leashed at all times, including within your campsite.
  • Please clean up after pets immediately and dispose of waste properly.
  • Excessive barking or aggressive behavior is not permitted.

Trash & Cleanliness

Please help us keep the park clean and wildlife-safe.

  • Dispose of all trash at the trash station next to the public restrooms.
  • Do not leave trash, food, or pet waste outside overnight.
  • Please break down boxes when possible to save space. There is a cardboard receptacle provided at the trash station.

Site Condition

Please keep your campsite neat and tidy during your stay.

  • Outdoor belongings should be kept organized and within your site boundaries.
  • Excess clutter, storage piles, or items left unattended may be removed at management’s discretion.
  • Please leave your site in good condition upon departure.

Visitors

Registered guests are responsible for their visitors at all times.

  • Visitors must comply with all park rules and policies.
  • Overnight visitors must be registered in the office during office hours and may be charged a $5 extra person fee.
  • Management reserves the right to limit visitors for the comfort and safety of all guests.

Weather & Natural Conditions

Our beautiful desert location comes with changing natural conditions.

  • Guests may encounter wind, dust, wildlife, and changing temperatures.
  • Please secure outdoor items during windy conditions.  Do not leave awnings or lose items out while you are off premises. Sudden gusts of wind may occur at any time.
  • Management is not responsible for damage caused by weather, wildlife, or natural events.

Wildlife Safety

If you see a rattlesnake while on the property, do not approach it. Keep a safe distance and notify us immediately by calling the office at (575)557-2526. If it is safe to do so, keep an eye on the snake from a distance so we can better locate it upon arrival, and please warn any nearby campers who may be approaching the area. Please do not attempt to move, handle, or relocate any wildlife.

Quiet Enjoyment

Please be considerate of fellow guests by keeping noise to a respectful level. Quiet hours are 6am to 10pm.

General Policy

Guests who fail to follow park rules may be asked to leave without refund.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • More than 14 days notice: Full refund
  • 3–14 days notice: 50% refund
  • Less than 3 days notice: No refund
  • No show / early departure: No refund
