Sand Springs Campground — Reviews

It was early in the season so there were no water activities. Without that it was basically a parking lot around a grass field. They should lower rates when they are off season

Perfectly peaceful

it is what camping is supposed to be. Rustic but clean, quiet, level spots, friendly staff, nice big pool! no wifi or cable but still had cell signal. Bring what you need the camp store is sparse.

Very poorly maintained bathroom, needed a thorough cleaning.

A beautiful location. The campground itself at Sand Springs was only adequat. Bathrooms old and not clean enough. Bad smells, loud noises at night. But we enjoyed our stay, as that's the risk of camping.

Nice quiet camping spot

It has improved so much since we started staying here a couple of years ago! The pool was amazing and since there aren’t THAT many people that stay here, it’s never crowded in the pool even though we stayed during a heat advisory. We’ll be back soon! Thank you!

Spacious, clean and easy check in.

Gave this 5 star because place was awesome and facilities are clean and well maintained plus pool was a bounus. We was there for memorial weekend 2024 at tent site 20 it was clean and love rock fire pit bathroom was lean only bad thing was water pressure but my family had fun and we will be back.

Our third time there and can’t wait to go back. We visit my son who goes to WVU.
