Located in the beautiful redwoods right next to a ton of different entrances/trails to Henry Cowell State park. Sites are a little tight but other than that, NO complaints! Super clean, well maintained grounds with access to a creek you can fish in. Nice and quiet even when all sites filled. Santa Cruz is only about 15-20 minutes away, small town of Felton is less than 10 minutes away with great options for a meal out or to grab groceries. As the site says, highly recommend coming in from 17 vs.taking highway 9 the whole way…very narrow curvy highway with not a lot of wiggle room for RV’s and bumper pulls! We’d definitely go back!!!!

Surrounded by beautiful Redwoods at our corner spot with camping table & RV hookups, friendly staff onsite, who delivered firewood to our site on first night due to our later arrival. Very glad we took our own fire pit along.

Spot was very small and there was a party of at least 30 people eating, drinking and playing music within 8 feet of our camper van. Pretty disappointing!

How clean they keep it. The clubhouse they have with games, and a pool table, along with all the outside sitting areas and bbq area. The bathrooms and showers are super clean, and the outside dishwashing area with hot water, which is pretty amazing! The location is amazing as it’s 6 miles from Santa Cruz Boardwalk, and also close to Capitola. The staff there are pretty great and Beth was so helpful and amazing. Some of the Travel Trailer spots are pretty tight to get into. We have a 28 foot trailer and we’re in spot 80. It was very hard to back into that spot but the other campers moved their truck. Some other spots appear pretty hard to back into.

If you want a campground that isn’t a parking lot… this is the spot!! All sites are around amazing redwoods and the grounds has walking paths and seated terraces to enjoy the river. I felt safe with my kids running around. Everyone was polite and respectful.
