    The Saxon Harbor Campground is found on the shore of Lake Superior overlooking the Marina and Lake Superior. Newly rebuilt in 2020 the campground is made of of 3 areas. The upper campground is made up of sites 1-17, the lower campground contains sites 18-26 and restroom & shower building, and rustic walk-in campsites V-Z. Dump station and dumpsters are located at the east side of the marina. ATV/UTV trail access to trail 17 via routes CTH A and Harbor Drive are allowed.

    Walk-In Rustic Campsite

    Sites V-Z are rustic wooded sites on the south and west side of the confluence of Oronto and Parker Creeks. The sites are accessed from the east side of the marina over the foot bridge or from the walking path from the south campground. The Saxon Harbor office is located near the playground on the west side of the facility. The firewood vending machine is near the entrance to the marina.

    The campground hosts were wonderful. And the view was spectacular. Bathrooms and shower houses were very clean and my stay was much appreciated.

    Very easy to book with Campspot. The host was very friendly and helpful. Our site #22 was facing the marina and Lake Superior with a beautiful view. The sites are a little close, but doable. The internet was not working while we were there, hence 4 stars. The bar across the road had the best hamburgers and drinks. Did not use the shower house so can't comment on that.
