RV Policies

Check In / Check Out

Check in is at 3 PM. Early check-ins must be approved by management. We will not ask a guest to leave so that you can check in early. We do not have a waiting area for those checking in early. Check out time is 11 AM. Please inform the office of your departure by sending an email, calling, leaving a voicemail, or by stopping by the office in person. After hours check-outs are allowed, but guests must inform management of their arrival via voicemail or email.

If you are staying in our park for a month or longer, we require an agreement to be signed.  Please contact park for more details.

Site Changes

You have been assigned a specific site, if you wish to move you must make arrangements with the office. Due to reservations and maintenance, moving may not be possible. Please inquire before moving sites.

Open Fires

Open fires are not allowed in our park. Fires must be in firepits, grills, or fire rings. Please exercise the appropriate amount of caution.

Parking

Please do not park your vehicle, trailer, or RV in an adjacent site. Use of more than one site will result in additional charges.

Storage

Please contact the office via call or email to get approval for outdoor storage.

Site and Park Navigation

Please be respectful of your neighbor and do not walk between sites when navigating the park. Please use main roads, sidewalks, and designated public paths to walk around the campground.

Washing
Washing RVs or vehicles is only permitted with 1 bucket of water and a sponge. Hose washing is not permitted, as it can result in a mess and disturb your neighbors. Schatziland also permits the washing of RVs during business hours by outside contractors who bring their own water source.

Rugs

Rugs are permitted so long as they are in good condition and remain inside the site or on the concrete picnic pad. Rugs are not permitted on the grass.

Pet Policies

Leash
We ask that you keep your pets on a leash at all times. This helps you, your pet, and other guests and their pets stay safe.

Buildings and Pool Area

Pets are not allowed in the buildings. County code laws do not allow pets in our buildings or pool area. Please do not tie your pet to our trees, doors, or posts.

Cleaning Up After Your Pet

Be a good neighbor and clean up after your pet always. Do not let your pet deposit waste on other guests’ sites. Failure to clean up after your pet can result in you being asked to leave without a refund.

Leaving Pets Unattended
Pets may not be left unattended in our park. Please do not tie your pet up outside and leave. Leaving your pets unattended is dangerous for your pet as many factors including weather can affect your pets well-being while you are away.

Pet Vaccinations
Due to Insurance Requirements, all pets must be vaccinated in our park. Please make sure your pet’s shots are up-to-date. Schatziland reserves the right to request shot records within 48 hours for any reason.

Barking
Excessive barking is not tolerated and disturbs your neighbors. Please note that excessive barking may result in you being asked to leave without refund.

 

Vehicle Policies

Speed Limit

The park speed limit is 5 mph. This policy is to keep you, your children, and your pets safe. Exceeding this speed limit will result in a warning. Multiple warnings will require us to ask you to leave. Safety is our number one priority for our guests.

Parking

Each paid guest registration covers 1 RV per site and 2 vehicles per site (Comfort sites only allow 1 vehicle). Please do not park on our grass or along the side of/in the street. Ruts caused in your site due to additional vehicles will result in damage charges. Do not park in sites that you did not register for.

ATVs, Dirt Bikes, Motorcycles, and Golf Carts

Schatziland allows guests to bring their ATVs, dirt bikes, motorcycles, and golf carts, but only the motorcycles and golf carts pay be driven inside the park. Dirt bikes and ATVs cause disturbances for our other guests due to the noise. Driving an ATV or dirtbike within the park will result in the termination of your reservation with no refund. The same applies to motorcycles and golf carts driven recklessly or in a way that disturbs other guests.

General Park Policies

Severe Weather

In case of severe weather, seek shelter in the bathhouses or the amenities center. Please bring your pets with you if you can. Try not to leave them in your RV during severe weather warnings, as they could be injured or lost. If possible, we ask that smaller pets be kept in carriers and larger pets on leashes in these situations. However, we understand that in an emergency this may not always be possible.

Cancellation Policy
Stays shorter than 27 nights:
Cancelling your reservation on the day of or within 7 days prior to arrival will result in no refund.
Cancellations 8 to 13 days guest forfeits one night or guest can opt for camp credit for a future stay within 6-12 month of intial booking.
Cancellations 14 or more days will receive a full refund minus a $10 admin fee.  

Stays longer than 28 nights:
Cancellations must contact the office. Current Monthly stays must be cancelled 3 days before the next payment period to avoid being charged for the next month. 
All extended stay reservations will forfeit background check fee. 


Refund Policy

There will be no refunds after you have checked in, for inclement weather, failure to follow the Rules & Regulations, or disorderly conduct.

Visitors

Guests may bring visitors, but any disorderly conduct or violations incurred by the visitor will be applied to the guest’s account. The registered guest will be responsible for any and all charges and fees from such incidents. Registered guests are responsible for ensuring their visitors follow all campground rules.
Visitors must park inside the guest’s site if possible. No vehicle may park on the grass or street. If the visitor(s) cannot fit inside the guest’s site, they may park at the nearest bathhouse or at the front office/amenities center parking lot.

Please note that any visitor that will be staying with a guest for more than 7 days must be able to park inside the confines of the guest’s site and may not exceed that site’s particular vehicle limit. If a guest is found to have a long term visitor who has been using our limited parking, charges and a possible termination of their reservation can occur.

Electrical Use

Schatziland requires all guests to use a surge protector at all times. This is to protect both our hookups and your RV. Failure to do so will result in fines.

You are responsible for understanding how many AMPs you are using in your RV. AMP usage over the 50 AMPs provided can trip your breaker. Please be mindful of your amp usage, so that you don’t trip your breaker during your stay.

Please notify the office if you have any electrical issues during your stay. Guests are not permitted to diagnose our electrical pedestals per insurance and safety requirements. Maintenance is happy to help. Even if you are an electrician, laws prohibit you from working on our pedestals unless hired to do so. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Laundry
The laundry room is open 24/7. Change is available in the front office during business hours.. Please do not leave your laundry unattended. We are not responsible for accidents or theft.

Restrooms

For the comfort of all our guests, restrooms are open 24/7 with exception of a temporary closing for cleaning once per day. We ask for your help in keeping the restrooms clean. Please remember to remove all personal items when you leave and treat the facilities with respect.

Guests under the age of 14 need adult supervision in the batthouses.

Pool & Playground

No lifeguard is on duty. The pool opens at 7:30 am after quiet time ends and closes at 9:30pm when quiet time begins. The playground is open 24/7. Anyone under 18 must be supervised at the pool and under 15 in all areas of the campground at all times. Horseplay, running, and diving is not permitted in our pool area. No food or drink are permitted inside the pool itself. Loud music, glass, and rough play are not permitted at our pool or playground. Failure to follow these rules result in you being asked to leave without refund. Children in diapers are not allowed in our pool. Only proper swim attire is permitted in our pool. 

Quiet Time Policies

Quiet time is 9:30 PM to 7:30 AM. Anyone playing loud music will be warned only once and then asked to leave without a refund. No loud activities are permitted during quiet hours.

Trash Disposal and Recycling

There are 3 dumpsters located throughout the park. Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely in the dumpster. If the first dumpster is full, please move to another. Please do not place your trash on the ground. Opossums, racoons, and stray cats are attracted to left out or disposed of food. While we think they are cute and wonderful animals, we don’t want you to encounter night visiting racoon at your site because of incorrectly disposed of trash! Do not dispose of oil, furniture, or any toxic waste/chemicals in our trash cans or dumpsters.

Failure to adhere to these rules may result in trash violations for disposal fees.
 

Children

Children under 15 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Horseplay, running, or diving in the pool is not permitted. Riding bicycles without a parent and on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming RV guests. Anyone under the age of 18 must be back at their site by 11pm. Children may not use the restrooms without being accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Drones

Drones are not permitted in our park. Please do not fly drones over people or RVs. There are several local area parks where drones are permitted for your enjoyment.

Clotheslines

Clotheslines are not permitted in our park.

Fireworks and Firearms

Fireworks and firearms are strictly prohibited in our park. The prohibition of fireworks includes sparklers, smoke bombs, aerials, and firecrackers. The prohibition of firearms includes all guns including air soft, BB, and pellet guns. If these items are seen outside of your RV, you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

Repairs

Repairs to RVs and vehicles are not permitted in our park. We are happy to recommend a local Mobile RV Repair service that comes out to your site to assist you with any repairs.

Safety and Emergencies

Emergency Contact Information forms are required from all monthly guests. This information remains private and used only when a situation arises when we need to contact someone in the event of an emergency or is sought by law enforcement agencies. We never give personal information out to others.

If you observe any activity you believe to be of concern, call the office. Leave a voicemail or send an email if it is after hours. In true emergencies, please call 911. If you need to call 911 for any reason, and time allows, please inform the office via call or email so that we may be made aware of the situation, especially if it concerns a domestic violence dispute, physical altercation, or dangerous/inappropriate guest behavior.

By accepting this reservation, Guest hereby waives, releases and discharges and covenants not to sue Schatziland RV Resort for all claims and liability for personal injury, accidents, property damage, any other claim arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the site/facilities. Further, guest agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Schatziland RV Resort from all losses, claims, expenses and demands, including attorneys’ fees, that Schatziland RV Resort may incur arising out of or in connection with guests’ stay. Guest further agrees to be responsible and liable for the actions and safety of every person in their group. Schatziland RV Resort reserves the right to remove any renter, occupant or guest who is subject to a lifetime registration requirement under a state sexual offender registration program.

 

Management shall not be held liable or responsible for non-utilization of package components or loss of recreational opportunities due to weather or any other circumstances beyond our control.

Schatziland RV Resort and its management bears no responsibility for any loss or damage to any person or property, or thing however caused.

The management reserves the right to evict any guest or group of guests for any cause
