Silver Sands Resort Rules

One of the things that makes Silver Sands Resort one of the best Michigan vacation rentals on the Upper Peninsula is the atmosphere we provide. We’re not a fancy resort, but we always put your comfort and satisfaction first. Since we work hard to give you a relaxing and pleasant stay, we ask that you follow these guidelines:

  • Please check out no later than 10:00 a.m. Check In time is 4:00pm

  • Please do not forget your sheets and towels as they are not provided. Bottom sheet, top sheet ,pillow cases.

  • The use of drones is prohibited.

  • No smoking inside cabins or near open windows (including tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, etc.). This is Michigan state law. Failure to comply will result in a $500 cleaning fee.

  • Children must not swim in the lake without responsible adult supervision.

  • Please respect your neighbors by keeping noise down after 10:00 p.m.

  • Deposit trash in the large dumpster behind Cabin #6 (not in fire pits).

  • Leave indoor and outdoor furniture where you found it.

  • Please park only in designated areas (not on the beachfront).

  • Fireworks are not allowed on the property.

Cleaning Expectations

  • Wash dishes before departure. Do not put dirty dishes back in cabinets.

  • We do not charge a standard cleaning fee; however, if cleaning exceeds 1.5 hour a fee of $45 per hour will be charged.

Pet Policy

  • Silver Sands Resort is pet-friendly. Fees are $50 for the first pet and $25 for the second (maximum two pets per cabin).

  • Guests are responsible for any pet damage or mess, including unreported issues found after departure.

  • Please keep pets off furniture and bedding and clean up pet hair before leaving using provided supplies.

  • Additional cleaning is $45/hour; damages are charged case by case.

Additional Policies

  • Guests are responsible for any loss or damage caused by themselves or their visitors.

  • Guests must conduct themselves in a respectful manner and not cause nuisance or disturbance.

  • Management reserves the right to require any guest to vacate the property immediately without prior notice if necessary.

  • No commercial photography or filming without written permission.

  • Reservations are non-refundable, including early departures or changes to length of stay. Deposits are non refundable for any reason.

  • Do not flush anything other than toilet paper (no wipes,Tampons,pads,diapers,condoms,panties or any thing else up can think up).

We ask that cabins and grounds be left as you would like to find them. Our office is open from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. if you have any questions.
