This campground is so beautiful. Right on the lake and quiet. We stayed 2 nights and wanted to stay longer. Our site was right next to the water so we could walk right in, launched our SUPs from our site and enjoy the view. The one downside of our specific site was that from one perspective we looked straight at the ‘flower pots” of the nuclear power plant… we had to angle the trailer and picnic tables accordingly.

The water hookup was heavily full of sulfur and when we talked to the people there they said we will check it after you leave! They gave us no other options to correct the problem. Very disappointing.

We had a relaxing week.The staff was very helpful and friendly. The campsite and bathrooms were well taken care of. We would recommend Skull Island to our camping friends/ family

The campground was clean; the host was pleasant; the view of the lake was great. The site was parallel to the main road; the site was not level; barely room to open the slides. So really, my frustration has to do with the campsite map on CampSpot. It shows that are perpendicular to the road and lake. Many of the waterfront sites are parallel to the road/lake and have steep slopes to the water. This campground is on a small island and most sites have quite a drop or incline. Otherwise nice quiet campground.

The staff were great and helpful. The grounds and camp sites were kept up, clean. Camp store is we stocked. We will be back in October.

Very unique campground on this island in the middle of a river. Views all around! Great service when we checked in and assistance when we parked our trailer. Highly recommend!
