Starved Rock Family Campground — Reviews

It's a nice campground and it's well kept. the staff is always nice and accommodating, you are close to truck stops for fuel and close to food.

We really enjoyed our site in F section! Shaded and quiet. Friendly service and great location!

Loved our RV site. Sweetest team at the store. So welcoming. Check in was the same. Dog park is clean plenty of room to run. Clean pool. We will stay again

This is a great place ! Clean and staff is friendly! They have made a ton of improvements the past couple years!

Our RV camping spot was spacious and the entire campground was clean and well maintained. We brought 2 dogs with us and they loved the dog park. There was live music on the campground on Saturday night which was nice. This campsite is a close drive to great hiking trails at three different state parks and there is a charming downtown in Utica with shops and restaurants. We plan to return!

It was a great experience, bathrooms were clean, the place was clean. There were a lot of families for camping so it was not looking like an isolated place. I would definitely go again for camping here.

The camp is easy to get to/from I-80 but quiet. It has play areas for kids and a large dog park. Each site had fire rings and picnic tables.

The camp is amazingly clean and easy to negotiate. The staff was friendly and informative for campers in the area for the first time. Unfortunately we chose a week full of storms and tornado warnings/watches. Despite that, we enjoyed our visit and will likely be back.

I’m a repeat visitor at Starved Rock Family Campground and is for one reason; is a great campground! From the staff, to the facilities, to the sites, to the location. Everything is perfect! And just when I thought it was all perfect, they added more amenities and now is even better. The new dog play area, new playground, a gazebo by the pool. Less than 15min from Matthiessen Park, and another 15min to a Walmart. What else can you ask for?!

Road noise was a factor for me . I would still stay again .

We found the campgrounds very well kept, staff was very helpful and friendly. Cade was extremely helpful with our issue we had with our hitch releasing from the ball. Nice areas to sit and relax by a fire pit and nice walking paths. Very happy with our stay.
