Statesville RV Park I-77 — Reviews

It was clean, a good place with the digs. It will be nice when the dog park is finished. I hope it’s talker than the one that was there. The office personnel were very kind.

The RV sites are all paved so a positive But the park is just off interstate so very noisy. The showers are gross. The juice is not worth the squeeze!

The basic cabin is just that, basic. It has a heater and A/C. No refrigerator. The only restrooms are at the main building, near the entrance. The cabin was clean and comfortable.

Our stay at this campground was very nice. It’s a little tricky to find as the entrance is off the northbound on ramp of I-77 and we weren’t sure if we should go down the ramp as the gps was telling us but easy entrance after that. We would definitely stay here again.

Just stayed the night. Location was very convenient, right off the freeway. Staff was friendly. Site was level enough. Everything worked like expected.

Lack of a camping experience, no place to have a fire plus it rained for two days and nights. The staff was very cordial and helpful.

I just think your park fit the bill. It's nice, neat, clean, well kept. It's not too big. There weren't any issues with hookups. Camping people are such a friendly and happy crew and that proved true with your clients. We loved the dog park especially the extra pen in case separation is needed.

Stayed several times with no problems. Will be back again.

The campground’s location was ideal for visiting Charlotte, but site 24 was unlevel for our 37 foot class A. The most level area was at the rear, and we still required ramps and needing to extend our jacks even further. If this had been an overnight stay it wouldn’t have allowed us to leave our toad hooked up and be level at the same time. Multiple other sites throughout the park were just as unlevel or worse than site 24. The park has some online rules (when booking) that conflict with the rules provided when given the paperwork at the campground. For instance, online it states golf carts are permitted with proof of insurance, but on the paperwork, it prohibits them. Another rule conflict is about pet fencing; online it allows pet fencing with a $100 deposit, but the paperwork prohibits it. If these might affect you I would clarify before booking. Upon returning to the campground one day, we discovered our RV had no power and an interior temperature of 94+ degrees. The breaker was in the off position, not tripped, it was turned off. An employee confirmed power issues earlier that day and reset some GFCIs. They inspected our pedestal and found the breaker off and left it that way because he saw we weren’t home and assumed we turned it off when we left. On that day it was near record-breaking heat close to 90, the park knew about the power issues, noticed our breaker was off, and chose not to contact us. Upon doing a google review the following is part of the response received from the park. After reading their response that makes even less sense than their actions I can say I would not return to this park and would not recommend this park to anyone. We always use a surge protector at campgrounds, but if someone turns the power off to the pedestal the surge protector can’t do its job. “Our staff did not turn your breaker on because it was thought you had shut your power off. We do have numerous guests who shut the power off when they leave to be cautious of potential electrical issues that could happen while they are out running around. This is not an uncommon habit. To us, and other parks...this is not "illogical". Since our staff did not turn it off, I would think that your electrical did in fact get quite warm inside and cause the breaker to flip off to preserve any issues within your rig. We would highly suggest using a surge protector. Safe travels!”
