Site was great, bath houses always neat and clean and people friendly. Definitely a return trip will be needed.

best views. quiet campground. Camp spots need to be paved though, very uneven roads that they just keep putting gravel over. love the new welcome center.

The bathrooms where not in great shape and the trash man skipped my section every day the stay was nice otherwise

Horrible unleved sites , payed $75 nightly for no WiFi and horrible site. Instead of getting a new office they should invest on the sites and the roads for the customers.

We had a wonderful experience during our recent camping trip. The park is beautiful, the bathrooms are conveniently located and well maintained, and the overall cleanliness—including garbage collection—was excellent. We truly enjoyed our time and appreciated the care put into the facilities. This was our second year camping at Stone Mountain. We visit as a group of four families, with a total of 10 children age 12 and under, and it has become a meaningful tradition for us. However, during this visit, there was an event taking place across the lake that included very loud music from approximately 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Unfortunately, this significantly impacted our experience. One of the main reasons we choose camping is to enjoy nature, quiet surroundings, and quality family time. The level and duration of the noise made it difficult to achieve that and disrupted what would have otherwise been a peaceful evening. We completely understand that events are part of park activities; however, it may be helpful to consider how amplified sound carries across the camping areas, especially for families with young children seeking a quiet environment. Aside from this concern, everything else about our stay was very positive, and we appreciate the overall quality of the park.

Beautiful area want to go back to a different site. Site was too near busy road. Also a little small and close to others.

The Yurt was simply amazing. Very clean. The park employees collected the trash like clock work. Great experience normally I’d do a tent. But the yurt was a great experience.

The stay was good. When I arrived they had downgraded my site to a gravel bed that was too small for my trailer (yellow)even though the size was on the reservation. I went back and they changed me to a site in the same category as I had selected (red). In the end, all was well.

We had a beautiful motorhome site with a view of the water.

Awful. If I had known that we were gonna be packed in the campsite like sardines and basically sleeping in a parking lot then I wouldn’t have given them any money.

We were in town visiting family and tending to some business. We were in our camper van and wanted to stay in a central location. Our site was easy to access, picnic table, fire pit and grill. Very quiet. The toilet and shower facilities worked perfectly. We were everything from camping casual to dressing up for a nice dinner to celebrate our son’s engagement. Stone Mountain has so much to offer. You can make it a week destination and never run out of fun things to explore.

Attractions were closed, construction and a burn ban. Campground was nice with clean restrooms. We will be back in the summer when the attractions are open.

The campground area is beautiful but the sites need major repairs/ renovations/upgrades. I never got my RV level. I just did the best I could. From looking at other sites, leveling issues are probably pretty common. Asphalt is cracking and pot holes are common. If someone would drop some serious money on this campground, it would be top notch! One other thing that I did not like was that I got charged an online reservation fee by Stone Mountain Campground and got charged for another on line reservation fee by Campspot. I asked about the two charges when I checked in and was told “that’s just the way it is. Sorry” Overall lots to do, beautiful area, close to Atlanta, and reasonably priced. Just don’t expect it to be an RV Resort. It could be but not there, yet!

Great campground. Views of Stone Mountain. friendly staff, friendly guests, had a great time. Very peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely return
