Stone Mountain Park — Reviews

Our first time there in our RV (new to rv life too) so we were uneasy 😬 but they have 3 dumping stations, the sites were good size too. Our girls love it as well 13,5,6. Years old. A lot of activities inside the Park. The little ones enjoy the sky ride to the mountain a lot. You will definitely go back

The sites are small, and I mean, really small. Ours especially, #286, was tiny. We don't have a huge camper, a 30ft trailer, but the site was so small, once our stairs were put out, you were already at the end of the campsite. We could unfold our carpet no more than 2 rows. It was a lakeside, but neither ours nor any of the others, which were only slightly larger than ours, had a nice view of the lake. The sites were set up in a way that the back of the campers where facing the nice view. We could walk down to the lake though and put the kayaks in. And we were able to see the fireworks from the campsite as well. But these are the only good things about the camground, we will not be back. The park is very confusing, while there are many signs it's difficult to figure out where you need to go and we were driving in circles multiple times before we finally made it out. If you camp with kids, I guess it'd be different, but we had our dogs with us and while the park information says it's dog friendly, it's not. You can't go to any of the attractions and even the hikes with your dogs. Though we did take our dogs to a hike once we saw on AllTrails that they were allowed. We did make the best of it and had a good time, but this is the most expensive site we ever stayed on and for that money we did expect more. We don't think it's worth paying that much, and that, as well as the size of the site, is why we're leaving such a bad review. There should have been a discount or a warning about the size on the App when we booked it. We've been on small sites before but this was truly on another level.

Very pretty place but the campsite will challenge your leveling abilities also wasn’t a fan that the pool closed at 7 pm wnd that your was not allowed to swim in the lake

My family and I wanted to slow down, and bond! We were able to pay all costs upfront- no hidden fees or charges! We purchased an Annual Membership to the National Park @ $65 for an adult versus $35 a day. This served us well over our 3 night 4 day stay in the Yurt 🛖 My husband and I, our 16 YO son and 10&13 YO daughters all enjoyed it! Clean bath house EVERY TIME I visited! Site is user friendly to book through too ♥️ Going pack in Fall for Pumpkins and Christmas for lights!

Very well kept and clean campground.

If you don't mind a place that feels like an RV park this place is cool. If you want privacy at all, this ain't the place.

Excellent place, clean, quiet at night, good facilities and excellent natural scenery. Highly recommended. It was my first time renting a motorhome with my family and it was a memorable experience. Many thanks Stone Mountain.

Our camping site was perfect, level plenty of room for motorhome and tent. The restroom/bath house was clean. Trash pick up kept our area clean. Complaint: was paying to enter the park with already paying for campsite.

The view was good from my lot unpacked. The box continued to trip and go out. Some the staff is giving “no colored” energy others are curt and simply unhelpful. 1 star for the nice girl overnight who helped a frustrated new comer find her way into the camp, and 1 stars simply bc I came to the site to do what I needed to which was get to learning my RV. As a new camper it was a great place to start, learn the basics

Great site #94! Loved the Park and hiking!

We have been RVing across the US for months and Stone Mountain was definitely one of our favorites. The campsite was so spacious with a spectacular view of the lake. Quiet except for the chirping of birds. Our dogs enjoyed going for walks along the waters edge while I viewed Stone Mountain.

My kids had an awesome time and shared in the experience with the other campers around. They want to come back as much as possible.
