Sun Retreats Peters Pond — Reviews

The campground was clean, many activities for children and families, and several dog parks. However neither the pool nor pond welcomed them, with clear no pets allowed signs, which is likely health code related. The majority of sites are long term rentals or privately owned which gave it the feel of a private club that we had stepped into in error. We would not return.

Backing in , asphalt ramp to high got stuck. Solid sun , site was full of rocks. Power lines over head. Rates were much higher than original quote

It was a party scene. A bar with late night band. Not a family friendly campground

We always have a great time at Peter’s Pond! The campground is very clean & having Lombardi’s Pondside Cafe is an added benefit. Although the weather wasn’t the best, we enjoyed our stay!

The site was level and clean. It was a pull thru so that was perfect.

Went as tent camper (only). Camp is loud well past midnight with party boats on the lake and music until 11 pm at the restaurant. Nowhere to access the lake to fish as all docks are private. Paddle boards were broken with no working paddles available.

The place was empty no other campers coming, the site had been empty for days and they charged $30.00 for early entry. I could understand during peak season but it’s not. The place is full of long term tenants… I didn’t know that when booking. They charged my account without signature.

What a peaceful place to relax. Very quiet and everyone was so nice and helpful.

The campground is lovely, but if you’re open you should be fully open (or at least let campers know ahead of time). We went in late October and all the bathrooms were locked. There was also a camper for sale right next to our site so people kept coming by to look at it on golf carts all day. The golf carts make horrible high pitched noises when they back up which causes our dog to get scared and bolt (he was on a leash but when I picked him up because he was scared he managed to wiggle out of his harness). As I was trying to catch him before he took off an older man on the golf cart yelled at me an told me my dog needed to be on a leash (he is always on leash, but that was at least the 4th time that golf cart had driven by and there were at least 4 others that drove by as well). I rarely write reviews but that was a weird experience and I was also frustrated none of the bathrooms were open. On a positive note, when we got there the ranger was super helpful getting us backed into a fairly tricky spot. He was the only staff member we interacted with and he was very nice.

The campground was nice and clean, people were friendly. Disappointed in the fact that our site was not level at the street so when we backed out pop up into it, it scraped (and destroyed) the hitch unit. A big black eye that could have been avoided if they paid attention to the site. It looks like many others had scraped there in the past….

We loved the place . I will be back on summer 2023 .

The place is beautiful, the houses are very clean and organized, it accommodates very well! however for the price they should change the mattresses we did not have a good sleep because almost all mattresses are very bad
