Sun Retreats Shenandoah Valley — Reviews

Fabulous campground. Staff met us at the gate providing information. Another staff member drove us to our spot and helped my husband back our pop up in when he was struggling. When the keys got locked in the vehicle,staff showed up quickly and were able to help us get back in. They went above and beyond. The facilities are excellent too. Bathrooms were clean. We didn’t use them but the pool and playgrounds looked amazing.

We enjoyed our time at this campground. Only left off one star because they mostly cater to seasonal campers which wouldn't be bad if this wasn't already a local short-term family campground for decades prior to Sun Retreats taking it over. The pool is a nice amenity, however, the water was too chilly for us during our stay so we kept to the lake most of the time.

Our family had a great weekend. Friendly helpful employees nice grounds pool and restrooms Kids activities and Saturday evening karaoke was much fun

Last two times there I had a very uneven spot, its time to put some additional gravel down! Also we experienced low power, every year the campers get much larger and require more power. We have camped there hundreds of times over the years and I see this more and more! Time to upgrade again please!
