Welcome
Welcome to The Bright Spot Campground & Marina! Our goal is to create a fun, welcoming space where guests can relax and enjoy nature. The following policies help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
By making a reservation, you agree to the policies below:
Reservations & Payments
Reservations must be made by an adult who is 18 years old or older.
Full payment is required at the time of booking.
Guests are responsible for reviewing their reservation details and notifying us promptly if any corrections are needed.
Given the location of the campground, The Bright Spot reserves the right to reassign campsites based on weather conditions, particularly to prevent campers from having to set up in wet or muddy conditions. In the event of severe weather, The Bright Spot Team will reach out as soon as possible to offer alternate camping options.
Check-In & Check-Out for Camping
Check-in begins at 2:00PM unless otherwise discussed.
Check-out is 11:00AM unless otherwise discussed.
Early check-in or late check-out may be available when occupancy allows but must be arranged with campground staff in advance.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to arrival to receive a refund minus any applicable processing fees.
Cancellations made after this period will incur a 50% late cancellation fee.
No-shows will forfeit their reservation payment.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Processing fees are non-refundable. Refunds are not available for add-ons, early departures, or no-shows.
Weather & Emergency Closures
The safety of our guests is our top priority. In the event that The Bright Spot Campground & Marina must cancel or modify a reservation due to severe weather, natural disasters, or other emergencies beyond our control, guests will be offered one of the following options:
Full Refund: A complete refund of all reservation payments, including any add-ons, will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Reschedule: Guests may choose to reschedule their stay to any available date within 12 months of the original reservation at no additional charge.
The Bright Spot will make every effort to notify affected guests as early as possible via the contact information provided at the time of booking.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are from 10:00PM to 8:00AM.
During this time we ask all guests to keep noise to a minimum so everyone can enjoy the peaceful setting of the campground.
Visitors
Registered campers are responsible for the conduct of all members of their party and any visitors.
Day visitors must leave the campground by 8:00PM unless otherwise approved. Visitors who wish to attend events with registered campers must pay a $10 fee per person.
Pets
Pets are welcome at The Bright Spot but must be kept on a leash at all times.
Owners must clean up after their pets and ensure they do not disturb other guests.
We understand that some pets need a safe space to learn what it's like to go camping. Please communicate your needs to us in advance of your reservation so we can ensure that we have a plan for nervous pets who may need more space.
By following the proper safety guidelines and being attentive, you can ensure that your pet will be able to experience the campground. We may ask you to remove your pet if they are displaying aggressive or disruptive behaviors toward other guests.
Campfires
Campfires are permitted only in designated fire rings.
Never leave fires unattended.
Please do not use gasoline in or around the firepits.
Fires must be fully extinguished before leaving the site or going to sleep.
Please do not gather firewood or burning materials from the land surrounding the campground. Firewood may be purchased at the camp or brought in from a local store or provider.
Please do not rest hot roasting sticks or pans directly on the picnic tables. Damages to the campsites or property will result in damage fees.
Campground Conduct
To maintain a safe and welcoming environment:
No illegal activity
No disorderly behavior
No excessive noise
Respect other guests and campground property
Management reserves the right to remove guests who violate campground policies without refund.
Alcohol Use
Responsible consumption of alcohol by guests of legal drinking age (21+) is permitted at your campsite. Alcohol is not permitted in shared common areas, playgrounds, or restroom facilities. Intoxicated behavior that disturbs other guests, poses a safety risk, or violates any campground policy will result in immediate removal from the property without refund. Guests are responsible for ensuring that no minors in their party consume alcohol.
Liability
The Bright Spot Campground & Marina, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, theft, damage, or death arising from the use of campground and marina facilities, participation in recreational activities, exposure to wildlife, weather events, or any other conditions on or near the property. Guests assume full responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their party, including minors in their care. The Bright Spot is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
By making a reservation and entering the property, guests acknowledge and accept these risks.
Policy Changes
Campground and marina policies may be updated as needed to maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
