The washrooms are not well maintained . Someone's dirty towel was allowed to hang in a shower cubicle for at least 2 days., The amount of hair that accumulated in a shower drain in the men's shower was disgusting. A privacy shower curtain was missing in one of the three shower cubicles. We had a neighbour that has 3 large dogs that barked constantly & lunged at people as they walked by on a community walking path. This occurred in June when we stayed in the Thief River campground & again on our recent stay. And that individual is allowed to stay & no one seems to do anything about it.

Very poor camp hosts. They are not marking reserved spots & drop ins aren't told where not to set up. Booked a campsite online in June and someone was unknowingly set up in our spot. We went to the camp hosts site, where there was 12-15 people sitting at a campfire. They all just stared at me when I came, & not knowing who was the host, had to finally ask! I had just made the reservation 3-4 hours earlier, so wasn't going to make them move, but needed to know what other sites were available. Before leaving though, let the host know that I made a reservation back in April for 2 spots & paid the extra money to guarantee those spots & asked that it wouldn't happen again. Sure enough, someone was set up in both sites as a drop in & since no one was around to ask, didn't know that there was reserved sites, so just set up there, not knowing that it was to be done on line.. No one in the campground knew where the hosts were & said they hadn't seen them at all. I did some research on line to find their # , since they do not have it posted at their camp host site, and when I told her what had happened, she told me that she "doesn't get paid to be there 24/7 and it's campers responsibility to go on line to see which sites are available when they arrive, not her." All of this mess could've been prevented by simply placing a sign on the sites that are reserved if they don't feel it's their job to moniter 24/7 to keep reserved sites open. I will never again pay extra to guarantee my reservation at this campground, which we love!

Camp host was unavailable Fri and Sat. The grounds needed mowing

The Dairy Queen across the street should open an hour earlier because we are here and they should close at at least midnight until we are done touring the town! Now I realize this has nothing to do with you guys, but you could encourage them to be open a little longer…❤️

My stay was peaceful and respectful. Very quiet and accommodating. Its right beside a beautiful river and park and the birds sing at about 5:30 am, cudn't ask for a better place to catch up on some peace and tranquility. Love having the new camp hosts too. It's a good upgrade from the last few years!

Nice, quiet location by the river. Our spot had adequate shade coverage and provided a fire ring and picnic table. Park location had local dining options nearby. Camp host was responsive and accommodating to a special request. Bathroom/shower house was one of the cleanest I've seen. Would definitely recommend!

We loved our site, and the bathhouse was nice and clean. But, it was weird that the camp host was so far from the entrance. And, we were very disappointed that the dump station had no water. We visit TRF to see family quite often, but will be looking for a different campground unless that dump station is fixed soon.

No complaints, the host was great.

First 4-5 days were spent with no bathroom and no water. When the water was turned on a pipe in the restroom burst, leaving it out of order even longer. No camp host to contact and the number I did find never responded to me. There's a lady there with a "camp host" sign but I heard her flat out deny being a host to a camper- yet seemed to have all of the camp info to hand out. Sounds like she's avoiding trying to refund us for their inconveniences. Also, FALSE ADVERTISING. It states that each spot has space for a tent or RV plus 2 vehicles, which is a flat out lie. Some of the RV's can hardly fit!! The picnic tables and fire rings were not set up. The "Camp Host" happened to have approximately 6 picnic tables to herself, 3 RVs, and up to 8 vehicles, 3 hammocks, a basketball hoop, and had so many visitors multiple nights which ALL go against the rules there. You're paying for a parking spot. That's it. I hardly stayed there and chose to stay elsewhere at least half of my stay due to this. Refund? Yeah right. Good luck. I will never stay there again and wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

The host never came to talk to us. Friday we arrived i knocked on their door but no answer. Never heard from them. Friends next to us came Saturday, host did not contact them either until Sunday because they were staying another night and hadn't paid yet.

Water not on, but able to get from the bathroom. No camp host available. Camp host site very messy. Bathhouse was reasonably clean, except for lots of spider webs. Not as well taken care of in general from years past. ( pre COVID ).
