Timber Surf Campground — Reviews

Me and my family starting an annual camping trip and this is the only campground we have been too. Overall I feel safe and feel like I have another family on the campground. Owners at great and always friendly and supportive. The lake is great for swimming for my son with playground.

Great campground, staff and lake!

Nice little Campground. Spot 29 is right on the water and well leveled. While you can overlook the lake it is till shaded. Water and Electric worked well. Very nice staff, functional facilities and a little convenient store with all essential you might need. TMOBILE service was great. Can highly recommend this place

Had a really great 2 weeks! Beautiful campground and lake. Couldn't be more happy with Timber Surf.

The workers there were great but the sites are to close to each other and the bathroom with no heat when it’s cold isn’t good. Then the kids were running wild along with dogs kept barking. One kid was using very bad language and no parents were handling it.

Nick & Micahelia are wonderful host. What a GEM of a campground. Its size is deceiving and lends itself to socializing with your neighbors. We got lucky and booked the weekend of their Halloween celebration…what a kick. We will definitely be back to this one.

Beautiful campground. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Lake was awesome, everyone was courteous.

Nick the host was very nice, accommodating and helpful. When we pulled in he came right out and showed us to our site, delivered ice and wood and helped us get our camper in place. The bathrooms and showers were the cleanest we have encountered. The two people on the camp store in the evening were helpful and fun to chat with. The tractor ride topped off the trip for our youngest. The campground was quiet, and we'll run.

Timber Surf was a wonderful campground. Beautiful views from our campsite, right on Round Lake and spacious sites. Just 25 minutes from downtown Ludington. Would camp there again!

My wife and I enjoyed our time at Timber Surf! Our lot was clean and nice, owners/ staff were very kind and welcoming, camp store was nice and well stocked. Overall, a nice experience and I’d definitely come back!

This campground was a trailer park with seasonal permanent residents. It was filled with trailers along with small sheds. There was one row of sites available for camping. This row was right next to the sewer clean outs. There were so many mosquitoes that we couldn’t even stay outside. This was the first week of May. We have two small children, the baby was getting eaten alive and the 3 year old wouldn’t leave the sewer hoses alone. Great family campground. NOT!!!! We lasted an hour before we packed up and chirped out. Avoid at all costs. I went to the manager on duty and explained the situation hoping for a refund, the teenager apparently in charge at the time laughed and said “ No”.

Fantastic. We didn’t spend much time at the campground but appreciated clean bathrooms, nice campsites, and friendly folks!
