Park Policies
Check In / Check Out
Check‑in time is at 2 PM EST and your site is reserved until 11 AM the day after check‑in. Early check‑in is not available because the guest before you has reserved their site until noon, and we want every guest to have the full time they’ve paid for. If you arrive in the area early, please make alternative plans until your site becomes available at 2 PM EST. We don’t have a waiting area for early arrivals.
Check‑out time is 11 AM. There’s no need to contact the office when you check out, unless you need to pay for an after‑hours check‑in.
Late check‑ins are welcome at any time—just let us know as soon as you’re aware of a delay so we can give you instructions.
If you’re staying for a month or longer, we do require a signed agreement. Please reach out to the park for details. Monthly guests are responsible for metered electric use and may be asked to provide a security deposit as outlined in the monthly agreement.
Site Changes
You’ve been assigned a specific site. If you’d like to move, please check with the office first. Because of other reservations and maintenance schedules, moving may not always be possible.
Open Fires
Open fires are not allowed anywhere in the park. Fires must be in the firepits or designated fire rings provided by Turn 5 RV Campground. Please keep all fires controlled so they stay within the firepit or ring and do not damage the grass. Fires aren’t permitted on windy days to avoid the risk of embers spreading.
Parking
Please park only in your assigned site. Parking a vehicle, trailer, or boat in an adjacent site may result in additional charges or an early end to your reservation.
Storage
Please don’t store items under or around your RV or picnic table.
Site and Park Navigation
Out of respect for other guests, please avoid walking through other sites when moving around the park. Use the main roads and designated paths instead.
Cancellations and Refunds
Reservations are non‑refundable after check‑in. Early departures for any reason, including weather or personal emergencies, will not result in a refund by Turn 5 LLC or Turn 5 RV Campground. Cancellations must follow the cancellation policy listed on our website or provided at booking.
Washing
Washing RVs or vehicles is limited to one bucket of water and a sponge. Hose washing isn’t allowed, as it can disturb your neighbors and create a mess.
Rugs
Rugs larger than 10’ x 10’ are not allowed, as they can damage the grass. We want your site looking great for you and for the next guest.
Pet Policies
Leash: Please keep your pets on a leash at all times. This keeps your pet, other guests, and other pets safe.
Buildings and Pool Area: Pets aren’t allowed inside buildings due to county codes. Please don’t tie pets to our trees, doors, or posts.
Cleaning Up After Your Pet: Always clean up after your pet and use the designated dog walk area. Please don’t allow your pet to deposit waste on your site or another guest’s site. Failure to clean up after your pet may result in being asked to leave without a refund or additional cleanup fees.
Leaving Pets Unattended: Pets may not be left unattended in the park. Leaving them tied up or alone can put them at risk from weather changes, power outages, or other unexpected situations.
Pets Not Allowed on Furniture: If you’re staying in one of our cabins, pets are not permitted on the furniture. A $25 charge will apply per incident if this policy is not followed.
Pet Vaccinations: All pets must be up‑to‑date on vaccinations per insurance requirements. Please ensure your pet’s shots are current.
Barking: Excessive barking can disturb other guests. If barking becomes disruptive and cannot be resolved, you may be asked to leave without a refund.
Vehicle Policies
Speed Limit: The park speed limit is 5 mph to keep everyone safe. Exceeding the limit will result in a warning, and repeated violations may result in being asked to leave.
Parking: Each paid registration includes one RV and one vehicle per site unless otherwise noted. Extra vehicles must be parked in designated areas near the building if available. Please avoid parking on grass, as ruts or damage may lead to charges. Trailers, boats, or additional vehicles may require extra fees. Please do not park in common areas, in the middle of roads, in unregistered sites, or where you would block garages, restrooms, or laundry room doors. Parking on the grass is not permitted in RV or tent areas.
Golf Cart Policy
Guests are welcome to bring their own golf carts to use within the campground under the following conditions:
- A valid proof of insurance for the golf cart must be presented at check‑in. By providing proof of insurance, the guest agrees to be fully responsible and liable for any property damage or personal injury caused by the operation of their golf cart.
- A $20 golf cart pass is required for each week of use. This pass must be purchased before operating the golf cart in the park.
- Golf carts may only be driven on campground roads and must follow the posted speed limit and all park traffic rules.
- Drivers must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Reckless driving, excessive noise, or unsafe operation of a golf cart may result in revocation of the golf cart pass and/or removal from the campground without a refund.
General Park Policies
Liability Disclaimer: Turn 5 RV Campground, Turn 5 LLC, and their owners, agents, and employees are not responsible for loss, damage, injury, or theft involving guests, visitors, or personal property while on the premises. All guests and visitors use park facilities—including roads, sites, utilities, and common areas—at their own risk. Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless Turn 5 RV Campground and Turn 5 LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from their own actions, their visitors’ actions, or their pets.
Severe Weather: In severe weather, please seek shelter in the bathrooms or in the office during business hours. Signs for shelter areas are posted. We encourage you to bring pets with you—please do not leave them in your RV during weather warnings.
Visitors: Only registered guests may enter the park. All visitors must stop at the office to register, pay a fee, and receive a parking pass. Visitors may not bring pets. Turn 5 RV Campground reserves the right to limit the number of people visiting a site. Day visitors must leave by 10:00 PM EST, and overnight visitors must leave by noon. Please check with the office before inviting visitors. Registered guests are responsible for ensuring their visitors are registered and follow all park rules. Any damage, rule violations, or disturbances caused by visitors will be charged to the registered guest. All visitors must park in designated areas and display their vehicle pass at all times.
Alcohol Policy
Guests of legal drinking age may enjoy alcoholic beverages responsibly at their own campsite. Alcohol is not permitted in public areas, including roads, common areas, restrooms, or recreation spaces. Please dispose of all alcohol containers in designated trash receptacles. Leaving cans, bottles, or related waste on the ground or outside trash bins may result in cleanup charges. Disruptive behavior, excessive intoxication, or any conduct that disturbs other guests—especially during quiet hours as outlined in the Noise Policy—may result in removal from the campground without a refund.
Water Usage Policy
We ask all guests to use water responsibly to conserve resources and help us maintain competitive rates. Please do not leave hoses or faucets running unattended. Washing RVs or vehicles is limited to one bucket of water and a sponge; hose washing is not allowed. Sprinklers or devices that use excessive water are also prohibited.
Bathhouses and Restrooms: Restrooms are open 24/7, with brief closures for daily cleaning. Guests under 18 must be supervised in the bathrooms and showers as well as in the pool area. Turn 5 RV Campground is not responsible for accidents or theft in these areas. Please conserve water in the bathhouses. Keep showers brief, turn off faucets when not in use, and take personal items and trash with you. Misuse, flooding, or damage to bathhouse facilities may result in charges or removal from the campground.
Prohibited Items
The possession or use of illegal drugs, hazardous materials, fireworks, or excessive outside fuel storage is not allowed anywhere on the property. Firearms, including BB, pellet, and airsoft guns, are also not permitted outside of your RV. Any violation of this policy may result in immediate removal from the campground without a refund, and law enforcement may be contacted if necessary.
Electrical Use
Guests are responsible for understanding how many amps they are using in their RV. Electrical use beyond the 50 AMPs provided can trip a breaker. Please monitor your usage to avoid interruptions during your stay.
If you have any electrical issues, please notify the office so we can arrange for maintenance. For safety and insurance reasons, guests are not permitted to work on or diagnose our electrical pedestals. Even if you are a licensed electrician, state law requires that only our designated maintenance team perform work on campground equipment.
You can view your electrical use during your reservation by visiting https://checkthemeter.com and entering your Meter Number.
Pet Area
Our pet area opens at 9 AM after quiet hours and closes at dusk. Guests under 18 must be supervised at all times in this area and throughout the campground. For everyone’s safety and comfort, horseplay, running, alcohol, food, loud music, glass containers, and rough play are not permitted in the pet area. Please also help us protect our trees by not allowing children to climb them. Failure to follow these rules may result in being asked to leave without a refund.
Internet Use
Complimentary Wi‑Fi is available as a courtesy to our guests. Speeds may vary, and service may occasionally be interrupted. Guests agree not to use the network for illegal or inappropriate activity. Turn 5 RV Campground uses high‑quality networking equipment, including Wi‑Fi 7 in some common areas, for your enjoyment.
Service Interruptions
Turn 5 RV Campground is not responsible for interruptions of utilities or services due to weather, maintenance, or events beyond our control. No refunds will be issued for service interruptions.
Privacy
Please respect the privacy of all guests. Do not take photos or videos of other guests, their visitors, or their property without permission.
Quiet Time & Noise Policy
To help all guests enjoy a peaceful stay, quiet hours are in effect from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Keep music, voices, and other activities at a volume that cannot be heard beyond your campsite.
- Generators, outdoor TVs, and other equipment that may create disruptive noise should not be used.
- Please be mindful when arriving late or departing early to minimize disturbance.
Any activity that disturbs neighboring guests may result in a warning. Continued issues may lead to removal from the campground without a refund. Excessive intoxication, loud or disruptive behavior, or any actions that violate the Alcohol Policy may also lead to immediate removal without a refund.
Right to Refuse Service
Turn 5 RV Campground reserves the right to refuse service, cancel reservations, or require any guest to leave without a refund if they fail to comply with park rules, cause disturbances, or act in a way that endangers others.
Payment for Damages or Fees
By booking a reservation, guests authorize Turn 5 LLC and Turn 5 RV Campground to charge the credit card on file for any unpaid balances, damage charges, additional fees, or cleanup costs as described in these Terms and Conditions.
Trash Disposal and Recycling
Trash cans are located throughout the park. Please tie trash bags securely and place them fully inside the trash containers. If a container is full, please use another one. Do not leave trash on the ground—wildlife such as raccoons and opossums are attracted to food waste, and we want to avoid any unwanted visits. Do not dispose of wires, oil, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic or hazardous materials in park trash cans. Trash is emptied once per day, but times may vary.
Abandoned Property
Any items left behind after checkout will be considered abandoned and may be disposed of at the guest’s expense.
Site Condition / Cleanup Responsibility
Please keep your campsite in good condition throughout your stay. At departure, all personal items, trash, and debris must be removed, and the site should be left as you found it. If a site is left with trash, pet waste, damage (such as ruts in the grass or burned areas), or abandoned items, additional cleanup or repair charges may apply. Guests are financially responsible for any damage or excessive cleaning needed to return the site to its original condition.
A dumpster trailer is available behind the check‑in office/store. Please do not dispose of motor oil, cooking oil, wires, furniture, mattresses, or toxic or hazardous waste in this dumpster. Improper disposal may result in additional fees.
Children
Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times. For safety, running or horseplay is not permitted in the park. Riding bicycles on the main entrance road without a parent is not allowed. All children must return to their site by dusk. Children may not use the restrooms without being accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Drones
Drones are not permitted within the park. Please do not fly drones over guests, RVs, or campsites. Several local parks in the area do allow drones if you’d like to use them.
Clotheslines
Clotheslines are not permitted in the park.
Fireworks and Firearms
Fireworks and firearms are strictly prohibited. This includes sparklers, smoke bombs, aerials, firecrackers, BB guns, pellet guns, and airsoft guns. Any violation may result in immediate removal without a refund.
Repairs
Repairs to RVs and vehicles are not permitted without prior approval from park staff. If you need assistance, we’re happy to recommend a trusted local mobile RV repair service that can come directly to your site.
Safety and Emergencies
Emergency Contact Information forms are required for all monthly guests. This information is kept private and is only used if needed in an emergency or if requested by law enforcement. We never share personal information with others.
If you observe any activity of concern, please contact Richmond County Emergency Services by dialing 911, or call the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 895‑3232 (available 24 hours a day). (No soliciting is allowed.)
If you need to call 911 and time allows, please also notify the campground office at (910) 434‑5147 so our maintenance staff can assist emergency personnel in reaching your site quickly.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes will be resolved through mediation or, if necessary, in the courts of Richmond County, NC.
