Campground Information and Policies

Campground Information

Camper Courtesy

Walking through other campsites is not allowed. Use the paths leading to the beach and water.

Site Occupancy Restrictions

Renting or lending of any site is NOT permitted. Children cannot be left to occupy a site without parents being present. Clotheslines are NOT allowed.

Laundry

The laundry facility is located in the front half of the second bathhouse. Change is available at the store or office. The laundry is open 24 hours.

Recycling / Rubbish

Only recycling/rubbish generated during your stay is allowed. Please deposit your bagged rubbish and recycling in the specified area (see map). We do not accept furniture, mattresses, household items, grills, etc. in/at our dumpsters. You must dispose of these items yourself.

Honeywagon

Mobile honey wagon service is available. Please notify the office on the previous day if you would like your tank pumped. The cost is $30, paid to office prior to dumping.

Dumping Station

Dumping station is available at no charge to registered guests.

Beach and Swimming

You'll find the water quality at Wassamki Springs to be unsurpassed. Enjoy swimming or relax on our beach. Swimming rules are posted in and around the swimming areas. Please observe all rules. Children CAN NOT be left unsupervised at any time. Soap, shampoo, or any type of slide is not allowed.

Boats and Fishing

You are welcome to use your own canoe, kayak, paddleboat or rowboat (no motors allowed). Life jackets are required. Fishing is allowed away from the swimming areas on the shore or in a boat. Catch and release, please. Lifejackets are required. Gas powered motorized RC boats are not allowed. Complete fishing rules available at office.

Rec Hall, Banquet Hall / Entertainment

Our rec hall is open daily. Please be respectful of the equipment and others at all times. Children must be accompanied by an adult while in Rec Hall or Banquet Hall. NO bicycles, golf carts, etc., in the band area during entertainment. Please follow posted signs in and around hall.

Recreation Area and Equipment

Sporting equipment is available in the Rec Hall.

Quiet Time

Quiet time is from 10pm - 7am. Any noise that carries beyond your own campsite is NOT permitted. Teens and children should be supervised and at their site during quiet time. Multiple requests to quiet down will result in a request to leave the campground (by police, if necessary).

Children

Children are not allowed in bathhouses unless accompanied by an adult. Children must have adult supervision at playground, beach, while swimming. Parents are responsible for their children's behavior and actions. Do NOT leave your children unattended.

Bikes and Helmets

Anyone 16 & younger must wear helmets when riding bikes, hover boards, skate boards, etc. NO bike riding after dark. Motorized children's cars are not allowed in campground.

Day Guests

Guests are required by law to sign in. The charge for visitors is $8.00/person. No charge for senior citizens (65+) visiting during day. Guests need to leave by 9:30pm. Guests are NOT allowed to bring pets. You are responsible for your guests. Guests/visitors not allowed if the registered camper is not present.

Overnight Guests

Overnight guests must be registered at the office before the office closes the night they are staying.

Pets

Pets are allowed if they are quiet and kept on leash at all times. Current vaccination papers required at check-in. Pets are NOT allowed on beach, in the water, in bathhouses or laundry. Pets cannot be left alone on your site. Pick up your dog's waste immediately. Continued barking will result in you having to remove your pet from the campground. Pitbulls, Rottweilers or any aggressive dog is not allowed in campground. Dog run available.

Safety and Common Sense

Cutting, mutilating or taking of trees and bushes is emphatically prohibited. No nails in trees.

Children cannot use hatchets, axes or knives. Fireworks or firecrackers are forbidden on campground property. DO NOT feed the ducks, geese or any wildlife.

Deliveries

Food deliveries & ride pick up / drop offs must be made at office area. Inquire at office for mail and other deliveries.

Vehicles

Two cars are permitted on each campsite. If you have more than two vehicles, contact the office. Speed limit is 5MPH and strictly enforced. Do not block roadways or other campsites. EV charging is NOT allowed at your campsite - contact the office for more information.

Alcohol / Marijuana Policy

Firewood

Out of state firewood not allowed. Scrap lumber and pallets not allowed to be burned.

Fires and Fireplaces

Campfires are allowed only in the existing fireplace. FIREPLACES MUST NOT BE MOVED. Do not leave your campsite or go to bed with fire burning. No excessively high flames. Maine firewood only. No pallets or scrap lumber. Fires must be out by midnight.

Utilities

Sewage or sink water must not be discharged on the ground. Because of underground power, do not drive stakes before consulting with management. All ditches / holes must be filled before leaving. Please check with office before plugging in an electric vehicle. In order to live together in a close community, it is necessary to consider other campers and the property on which you expect to enjoy your vacation. We welcome you to WASSAMKI SPRINGS and hope your vacation is a safe and happy one.

Liability

Persons using Wassamki Springs Campground and its facilities do so at their own risk, and they assume full responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen property occurring to anyone while on its grounds or in its facilities.

Please note - When using our electricity and/or other utilities, you do so at your own risk.

Management Rights

THE MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO EJECT ANY AND ALL VIOLATORS OF THESE RULES & REGULATIONS, WITHOUT REFUNDS, AND TO REMOVE PERSONS OR ANIMALS WHO ARE CONSIDERED DETRIMENTAL TO THE HEALTH, SAFETY, OR WELFARE OF OTHERS USING THE CAMPGROUND OR ITS FACILITIES. RULES SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
