Dale the camp host was amazing ! Thank you Dale Sites by the river are fantastic . Peaceful and quiet - definitely a place to unplug !

Everything was exactly how we wanted it, we had a waterfront spot, with a trail on the back end. The rapids made for great background noise and it was quiet overall, everything was easy, no power but didnt need it. Thank you for a great night!

If you know what you’re getting, you won’t beat this. 200% fabulous location - delighted to enjoy it. (No power, water, shower. Who cares ?!)

Been going to water valley frequently since I was 17.Im 62 now and still love it. Wish I could have my own land but the campground is great too!

Quiet, beautiful surroundings, volunteer host was very nice and helpful, told us about history of place, love the old pump to get water, little things like having a cart to haul wood and water, bathrooms clean…looking forward to going back♥️

Great area and people running the campsite were very helpful from a friendly chat to borrowing tools etc GREAT LOCATION OVERALL Only thing I would Like to see is a better sign coming from the north side as north side camp found sign faces south more and easily can be missed coming from the north

It was wonderful quiet and peaceful getaway weekend, I didnt catch the names of the lovely couple that ran the park but they were very nice and helpful!! I would definitely recommend this little peaceful oasis😊

When all territory of Alberta was in green area on albertafirebans.ca the Water Valley campground had fire ban and we knew about that only when we came to the campsite (any information about it on website). It was rainy weather but they had fire ban. And the worker which I spoke to was so rude with us. So we decided - never more Water Valley Campground.

Terrible experience. The staff attitude was rude and unfriendly. There was a fire ban, but nothing about it was mentioned on the website — we only saw a sign after arriving at the campground. Meanwhile, other campers were clearly burning wood fires, but only we were told to put ours out, even though it was raining, later snowing, and very cold outside. We were camping with small children who were freezing, but the staff still aggressively refused to allow any fire. When I pointed out that other people were also using fires, staff claimed they were using propane fire pits, which was simply not true — I personally checked and saw wood fires. The location itself is beautiful, but because of the unfair treatment and poor management, I would not recommend this campground to anyone.

The camp attendants were very friendly and delivered wood for our fire as needed. Had a spot along the river qhich was oeaceful but we had a lot of wind

It was a good stop over, pity it was a abit out of our way. But very quiet place, no traffic noise
