My husband and I came for a Friday night to Monday morning stay, we got there around 8pm Friday night due to the traffic and rain because of the storm Debby and the gate was down and we had to call to get the pin to get in. Also the camp site is kind of hard to navigate and VERY dark. There are no lights lighting the path. That night due to the storm one of the tree branches fell from a dead tree… part of the branch hit our tent and the larger piece fell very close to where we were sleeping. A kind worker came out the next day to make sure we were ok but stated that the owner would be out Sunday morning to check on us: he was out and about but never said one word to us. Also, the bathrooms were closed for cleaning at the most inconvenient times. Saturday morning from 1030-1130, with a line of people waiting to get in to shower. Sunday night when we were getting ready for bed and then Monday morning when we were just getting up at 930am and the woman wasn’t very nice to my husband when he asked if he could gain entry to use the restroom before we hit the road. She said No, they are closed for cleaning as she walked away from them. We enjoyed our time together there but we will probably look for another place to stay if we are ever in the area again.
