We only stayed for one night while on the road but I wish we could have stayed for two. It was during a heat wave, probably 100 degrees outside. Our site was located in a swampy area unfortunately so black flies were biting but we were barely hanging around our camp site. The pool was awesome. So was the playground. The campground had a lot of activity. It was very bustling for a Tuesday! I’d definitely stay again if I’m ever in the area. So fun for families!

The campground was clean, friendly and had so many fun things to do! Great place for the whole family!! Activities and fun planned with a weekly schedule. Kayak, golf cart and mini bike rentals. Hot tub and pool and even a golf cart drive in movie night!! The staff was so friendly and helpful! Cannot wait for our next visit!!

The campground was very well-maintained and the staff was so helpful and cheerful! They had great activities for the kids and all the campers were so welcoming. My daughter even conquered her fear and went down the water slide for the first time and loved it! We had a great stay and will definitely be coming back.

We always have a great time here. This is the first time we tried the camp restaurant- it was really good! Only criticism, the price for camp wood is A LOT - and you can’t bring in outside wood.

We found the sites spacious and private. The employees were very nice and appeared to enjoy their work. I would have given 5 stars but I had 2 issues that caused me to drop a star. I thought the firewood was overpriced. The other issue was that an employee was constantly speeding around in a golf cart and raising clouds of dust. When I asked him to slow down because of the dust I received a snarky response and he continued to do it. FYI I have already reserved another stay because over all it’s a great campground.

Winding river is a great place to bring kids. There’s a ton of activities and an all around safe place for the kiddos to have a great time. Do expect to over pay on wood, they have rules not allowing you to bring in outside wood and charge 12 dollars a bundle (five maybe six pieces). I had friends visit for a couple hours and they were charged day passes as well to come hang out. I’m still giving five stars for the campgrounds as they were clean, the quiet hours were enforced, and the bathrooms were in great shape.

Shower cabin and toilet are very small. Our bath house wasn’t clean and it would need more attention. We decided to use the other bath house and use our car to get to it (fare from our camp site). Camp site are small for pop-up with dining tent. Many cars are parked along the road for that.

The campsites are level, easy to pull in and out of without blocking the road. There really are not a lot of mosquitos either. The pool was great, we waited until dinner time to go in since all the kids would leave to eat. The hot tub is large and could easily accommodate 20 people. They have a nice general store, WiFi throughout the park, a great playground & outdoor movie area. Saturday night they had a band at the pavilion and lots of activities for kids during the day. We will definitely go there again.

The camp sites are on the smaller size. When we arrived the womens showers were not able to be used, because they were being painted, after a few days the men's showers were closed, for the same reason. People were racing around in carts well into the night when addressed to the office was told not much to be done. The prices were extremely high $12 for a bundle of wood (about 6 pieces) rule is no outside wood can be used, so np camp fires this vacation. May come back to the area but will using a different campgrounds.
