Winding River Campground — Reviews

The cabin was clean when we arrived. The deck was a good size and allowed us to hang out outside with our pup. We took some walks around the campground in the shade. The camp store always has what we needed, and the pool was a nice end to a hot day.

The camp ground had great activities for kid and good sites but the bathrooms were all dirty went to take a shower and it look like someone went in there with a dirt bike and did burn out with mud and I saw that on Friday it was still there when I left Sunday I had cigarette buds all over my camp site but other then that it was good

No issue checking in or camping. Just the spot I was given was really busy. Backed right up to the Bouncy Ballon thingy and play ground. Loud music coming from play ground and a hundred kids screaming till well after dark. I like kids, but that spot should not be a spot. Skill saws and hammers going all day from site two spots up. Granted it was a last minute reservation. I was lucky to get spot. Grateful for that. Hence two stars.

The staff were amazing and very helpful, the camping spot was clean when we arrived, and the store had everything we needed. The only thing that i would recommend maybe carrying in the store is some extension cords. We realized a bit too late that the cord we brought with us was a bit too short to reach our tent.

Fun campground, lots of things for the kids. Adult swim was a blast. I truely hope they read this and clean the bathrooms more!! There were two days in a row where the same stall was out of tp. Constanly clogged toilets. They clearly dont clean the bathrooms everyday (should be an every 3 hour sweep type of thing)I noticed a tooth paste cap on the bathroom sink, it sat there for 3 days!! Until i threw it away! But id go back my kids had a blast!

The roads were very hard to maneuver for a 50ft motorhome towing a vehicle.

Water was not working for a good portion of my stay. The entrance to the campsite was a bit tight to maneuver the camper in, which caused me to scratch the camper backing in. They should have wider openings to accommodate larger campers.

It was my first time there, and I have to say I won’t return, I love camping been going since I was 10. I feel they camp sites are way too close together, I was very uncomfortable and ended up leaving a day early. There is no consideration from other campers about how loud they are and again It probably wouldn’t have bothered me if the sites were a little more spread out.

All was good at Winding River Campground. They had a water issue but were all over it and fixed before you knew it. The Staff is the BEST I have ever encountered!! Love love love this Campground.

Great staff, very clean bathrooms and awesome sites.

People there were friendly. Sites could be very close together. Need a bench inside each shower stall to put your stuff on and to sit to dry off and dress. Website was somewhat difficult to navigate with no phone number until you check out.

It was a great place to stay. Next time we'll stay more than one night and try kayaking the winding river!
